IT WAS ALL A RUSE! You thought the last chapter was his present? HA! No.

It was simply a means to keep you occupied while I'm writing the REAL present! Mwahahaha! I'm a fiend, I know.

There will be a lot of guest stars in this one, some might not makes sense especially if it's two characters that's never met in the game. I'm only mentioning this because obviously I don't know how they would actually react around one another so it might even make them sound OOC but it is what it is.

Also, this one is REALLY long but I just had so much fun writing it :3

"Thank you so much, Y/n! As agreed, 100 Mora!" I humbly took the money from the woman and smiled,
"No problem! Maybe I'll swing by later to try some of your dango?"
"You will not be disappointed. Take care!" I waved and left, ready to tick that task off the list.

I reached into my pocket and took out the piece of paper, scanning the contents with my eyes. "Helped that vendor lady with her deliveries... Check. I already helped the fisherman and the chef downtown. Alright! Almost there!"

I pocketed the list, making my way to the next destination. "Yo, Shortie!" I flinch at the familiar thunderous voice and slowly turned around. I spotted the oni and his gang making his way over with a wide grin and a wave. "There you are! We've been looking everywhere for ya!"

'We...?' I gulped and plastered on a fake smile, "Hey guys..." I pointedly looked at Mamoru, trying to communicate with my eyes. He subtly shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Is that so? Whatcha need?" I asked the tall male and he tilted his head, "I noticed you've been kinda busy all day so wanted to know when you're free to hang out?" There was this hopeful edge in his tone which was starting to make me feel bad. "Really? Wow, all day you say? That's crazy..."

I thought back to earlier this morning when I was avoiding him and felt even more guilty after realizing how I might've come across as mean.

"I'm sorry, I just have this long list of errands I need to run sooo yeah... can I get a raincheck on that hangout?"
"W-We could help you! We'll have it done in no time–"
"No! I-I mean, I couldn't possibly make you guys do free labour! Don't worry, once I'm done I'll swing by Uyuu Restaurant like usual." I spared Mamoru a glance, letting him know I hadn't forgotten about him and saw him nervously look away.

"It's been fun but I gotta go." I turned and swiftly made my escape before Arataki could say anything, "See you boys later!"

I speedwalked away, taking sharp turns in hopes that he won't follow. "Shortie, wait! Aaaand... She's gone." The oni scratched his scalp in confusion,
"Is it just me, or is she avoiding us?"

Mamoru panicked, remembering my words from this morning:
"If you guys let something slip, you won't be hearing the end of it, I assure you..."
The terrifying tone made him shudder and look to his comrades who also seemed shaken up by the same memory.

"Of course not, Boss! You're just overthinking things!"
"Yeah! She's got her own life so it's probably personal errands?"
"She said she'll meet with us later so forget her for now!"
The three of them took turns trying to convince their boss to forget the girl and his shoulders slumped defeatedly.
