I slowly opened my eyes as I began to stir awake, little by little. The smallest of sun rays shone through the crack in the curtains, signalling daytime. I sighed and pulled the blanket off of me and tiredly dragged my feet out the room and into the hallway.

I yawned into my hand as I opened the door and shut it behind me, doing my business then washing my hands in the sink. I splashed my face while I was at it. I looked up at the mirror to see myself, when was the last time I've done this? I look... Different.

My face looked a little pale and the bags under my eyes were more prominent. Did I always look like that? "Must be the lighting..." I brushed it off and finished up to head over to the kitchen, allowing my hunger to lead me though the quiet house. Er, not so quiet. I could hear Arataki's snoring from down the hallway.

I entered the living room and saw Arataki sleeping on the couch with Ushi on top of him. He didn't even fit on the couch, his feet were dangling off the edge. I trudged into the kitchen to find the leftover yakisoba, hoping to satiate my hunger.

I was surprised that there were leftovers at all with the oni equivalent of a trash can in the house. While I was busy in the kitchen, I heard Arataki get up and shuffled into the room from behind me. He must've heard the commotion coming from the kitchen and came to investigate.

"Mornin'..." He mumbled upon seeing me with my back towards him, still half asleep. "Morning." I felt his presence looming over shoulder as he inspected what I was doing.
"Can I have some?"
"Sure." I held up a bowl and finally laid my eyes on him, only to find out he wasn't wearing a shirt or anything like that, only pants. And his collar, for some reason?

"I-I..." I stammered and blushed at the sight and he only gave me an innocent tilt of his head as he took the bowl from my hand. "You okay? You're face is really red." I violently shook my head and forced my gaze down at my hands, refusing to look at him. But it was too late, the image was engraved into memory.

"Fine. Totally fine. Nothing to worry about, haha..." He shrugged, trusting my words and retreating to the living room to eat his breakfast, completely oblivious to what just occured. I snuck a glance at him, seeing his long, white disheveled hair and broad, toned back.

'What're you doing?!' My grip on my bowl tightened, trying to ease my fast heart rate. 'Stop being a pervert!' I scolded myself. Once I calmed down, I went to the next room and pretended nothing was wrong as I sat down on the cushion by the low table.

He was sitting there, unfortunately, with his legs crossed and his back slumped over as he shoveled the yakisoba into his mouth. "So we're heading to that clothes shop today, right?" He asked me between bites and I nodded stiffly.

"Okaaay... Then we're heading to that place?"
"Yep." I shoved the food into my mouth and hoped he would get the hint and stop talking to me. Fortunately, he was too busy with his own food to continue conversing.

It's just, he made it so difficult to not look at him. 'I can usually see his abs so I should be used to this, right? So WHY am I flustered?!'

We ate in silence and felt relief wash over me when he got up first. "If he keeps doing stuff like that, my heart won't last..."
