𝙾𝚗𝚕𝚢 𝙾𝚗𝚎 𝙴𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚑

Planet earth, our only home in this universe

It houses so many living beings extremely diverse

Yet it seems as if human race was its curse

The effects of our decisions on it are adverse

All trouble started the day when we thought

Life should be easier and we made changes, a lot

But now look where our choices brought

Our planet is suffering from floods and drought

I wonder why were we always so cruel to it?

We have always been so stubborn to admit

We can tackle and solve earth if we used our wit

Let's act on it just stop being a hypocrite

We should plant more trees, restrict pollution and hunting

Protect the existing species and be more caring

Counter climate change, prevent the temperature from rising

We are the only hope to save earth from dying

For once let's learn to treat properly our home

Try to rid of all the pollutants and foam

Preach about nature's importance wherever we roam

Let's together rescue our environment from its syndrome

To those who don't know, this year, World Environment Day 2022 will be hosted by Sweden. "Only One Earth" is the campaign slogan that focuses on "Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature." The Government of Sweden will host the World Environment Day 2022 programmes and activities in partnership with the UN Environment Programme (UNRP).

So on this beautiful day let's try to deepen our connection with nature, let's take an oath that we will try to improve ourselves and treat the mother earth better. Let's learn to be more eco-friendly and follow the 5Rs, refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle!!
