Long long ago once upon a time

When the world was at its prime

There lived a king who belived

All monkeys should be killed

He recieved a lot of complaints

From too many of his subjects

That monkeys caused too much ruckus

They cried and made a fuss

The King felt bad, he cared about

His subjects a lot no doubt

He consulted his minister and decided

All the monkeys will be murdered

The people were all ecstatic and happy

No one thought the decision was crappy

They could finally get rid of that pest

At night they could comfortably rest

It was announced that for every killed monkey

The hunter will receive from king a bounty

Suddenly even civilians began hunting

In kingdom all monkeys stopped existing

All was good for a next few days

People were pleased now that monkeys were away

But one fine day the bubble bursted

Everyone again started becoming frustrated

The new problem came in the form

Of too many insects and worm

They were in almost all farms and houses

They ruined the grains stored in warehouses

Now the King was worried, he relented

In his empire it seemed as if trouble never ended

In the end he decided to call the intelligent sage

Who's knowledge went way beyond his age

The Sage came and inspected the kingdom

He finally concluded what lead to the doom

He asked the king, where is all the monkey?

To solve this happening crisis they are the key!

The minister now explained what happened

The Sage understood the reason and explained

That lack of monkeys were the reason why

The worm trouble made people cry

Now monkeys were bought and sold

From next kingdom at the price of gold

The king lost too much money and fortune

But at least it solved the big misfortune

Since then it was written books and taught in class

How important every single living thing was

Everything exists for a reason even thorn and pest

Through poem I share this ancient story to the rest
