"Well, today wasn't a disaster," Remus sighed, stretching his back as he left the office, walking down the hallway. When he was done he put his hands on his hips and watched cars drive by. The city was always busy as people drove home from work.
"It could have been worse," Patton admitted. "But you know how to do the boring work when it comes down to it."
The green fae shrugged. "I just pretended to be my brother, did what he would do. Gods it's tiring, I don't know how he can do it every day."
Patton laughed, "Yeah, I think Roman feels the same way. But hey, everything was organized and things were signed off. Next week, production on insulin starts. Each will be sold for five dollars! We can save a lot of lives with that!"
Remus smiled. "That's good. And I set Rose's team on searching for more addresses of Wolfsbane's most important places. It's really weird that BP wants to stop attacking the weapons factory, it would be best if that place was destroyed first."
"Who knows what your brother thinks. He's so stoic, it's hard to read him. I guess he's always been a good actor, even when I first met him." Patton frowned, his nose scrunching. "Actually, especially when I first met him."
"Ah, those good old days. You were so scared when we first met, but so determined. You're a real cutie, daddy." The nymph rolled his eyes at the nickname, far too used to it. "But you should have seen him before we took over this gang. Daffodil did! He was literally someone else."
"Oh yeah, that's right! You and your brother weren't the original leaders of this gang, and this gang wasn't called Bleeding Rose either. You two overthrew the first guy, right?"
"Yup, only cause he was trying to kill dear old me." Remus weaved his fingers together and rested his chin on them. "When Roman found out, he wasted no time in joining the gang and getting close to that old man. And then... well... That's when Poisoned Thorn and Burning Petals made their debut."
Patton pushed open the door to outside the building. "You two really need to tell me the whole story sometime."
"Will do, daddy waddy. I'm gonna take a flight around the city to stretch out my wings. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye!" Patton waved as Remus took off.

Janus set their keys down on the small table next to the door. They walked past the couch and towards the kitchen. It was quiet and empty as always, not to mention small. At least the neighbors weren't bad, they kept to themselves.
The shifter caught a glance of themselves in the reflection of the microwave. The red cut was still there against their dark skin, but it was starting to heal at the edges. What bothered them was how sharp and square their jawline was, it was too masculine. They shifted just slightly to make it more round. Much better.
They weren't hungry, and should probably go through their food soon to get rid of anything rotten. However, they were exhausted. Janus had spent most of the day worrying over Virgil, even though they didn't show it.
The weredragon had insisted on working even though they were still hurt. Of course Janus forced him to check in with one of the doctors, luckily nothing was broken. His chest was bruised from being squished against the ground by a heavy shelf, but he was lucky his ribs didn't fracture. Janus sometimes wonders which one of the two were older.
They grabbed a liquor bottle and a round glass. The shapeshifter didn't pour anything, instead turning to leave. Grabbing their keys again, they left through the door they had just walked in from.
