Roman paced back and forth in the hall. As soon as his leg was stitched up, and he made sure Remus's side was too, he started to pace back and forth in front of the room Virgil was supposedly in.

Remus had sent a message to all of their members to leave the building, and while Roman should be worrying about his gang, he was more worried for Virgil. Just how bad were his injuries? He was bleeding a lot... especially from his leg. There was a cut on his head too, did he have a concussion?

A muffled voice came closer to the door before it opened. The doctor stepped out and smiled at Roman.

"Oh good," she said. "He was asking for you. I'm going to get the discharge papers."

"Thank you," Roman quickly told her before heading into the room. "Virgil?"

The dragon looked up from his wrist. It was wrapped in a purple cast, a gauze taped to his head, and his leg wrapped tight in bandages. A crutch was set against the bed next to him. He smiled at Roman, though it didn't reach his eyes. "Roman..."

Of course he ran over immediately and hugged him tight with one arm. "Oh thank goodness you're okay. I mean you're not but- it could have been so much worse..."

Virgil chuckled lightly and patted his arm with his uninjured hand. "I know... I'm sorry."

"No, no more apologies."

"Are you okay?"

Roman pulled back and held Virgil's cheek. "I'm wonderful... you're alive. I was so scared when I found your note this morning."

"Oh, right... I..." he drifted off as he was about to apologize. "I'm okay. You saved me in time."

"And you saved me..." Roman looked him over again, seeing the gauze taped to his arm. There was an IV next to the bed that was empty, though there was red in the creases. "I just wish you hadn't gotten so hurt. Don't do something like that ever again! Do you want to die?!"

Virgil bit his lip hard to keep the tears back. "I... I don't. I thought that-" his voice got high with tears. "I thought I didn't care. But I really don't want to die."

"Oh Vee..." Roman sighed, taking his hand and rubbing his thumb on Virgil's knuckles. "I know that fear... I'm never going to let that happen to you. I might never let you out of my sight ever again," he laughed lightly to show he was joking.

It brought a small smile to Virgil's face and he wiped away the stray tears. "Thank you for coming..."

Roman brought his hand to his lips, pressing a small kiss on the back of his hand. "Thank you for getting rid of Black. It wasn't all for nothing at least."

"I uh..." Virgil cleared his throat. "This is the hospital with Anna, right?"

"Oh, right, it is."

"Do you think I can see her? I... should tell her what happened. That we're safe now. Though... she'll kill me for being an idiot."

"I can be with you if you need me to be," Roman offered.

Virgil nodded. "I'd like that."

There was a knock at the door and the doctor opened it again. "Alright, I have your discharge form and the prescription for your pain medicine."

"Thank you," Virgil replied as it was brought over.

Roman watched with a small smile as the dragon struggled to sign his signature with his right hand. It came out very messy, but it was still a signature.
