"This was supposed to be a couple's activity," you teased, watching as Steven took the instruction booklet that came with the LEGO set you had bought. "This is looking a lot more like a I-look-at-Steven-being-a-cutie-who's-building-LEGOs activity."

You and Steven hadn't gotten to see each other much lately. Your job had been making you work late and, by the time you got home, you would be on the verge of collapse. Most days, you would just take a shower and go to sleep, curled up in Steven's arms, as soon as you got home. So when Steven proposed that the two of you spend the weekend building some of the LEGO sets you'd accumulated over the last few months, you were eager to get started.

Steven glanced up at you over the rim of his glasses. God, he looked so handsome in his glasses. "Oh, I'm sorry, love! I just got a bit excited. Didn't mean to leave you out."

"I'm just teasing, my love," you said. "I love seeing you so excited over something."

"No, but you're right, this is a couple thing." Steven pushed the booklet aside and grabbed the plastic baggie labeled "1", cutting it open with a pair of scissors. "We'll organize this together, then we can fight over who gets to make the first piece, yeah?"

You laughed, already organizing the studs by color. "Alright, but I got a good right hook on me. You wouldn't stand a chance."

Steven threw his head back laughing. "With a threat like that, you can have the first piece, love."

But then he reached for one of the pieces you needed, so you quickly smacked his hands. "Stop touching things! It's my turn to build," you teased.

"Ouch! That hurt, love," Steven joked.

"Then let me fix it, my love," you said, leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Better?"

"So much better, love."

"Good, now don't touch my LEGOs again!"
