Her pov*

Over the past few weeks Matthew and I talked quite alot. There was this new thing that came out, I wasn't quite into it at first, but Matthew was and I got kinda used to it. It became really popular really quickly it seemed. It was a social media app called Vine. Matthew and a bunch of other people makes really random videos and post them on there and it seemed kinda fun. I would get like a call after school from Matt saying that he gained 300 followers since the morning and everyday things would increase. He was freaking out excited and it made me laugh.

"You should come over this weekend." Matt said to me one day.

"What for?" I ask him.

"What do you mean what for? I just wanna hangout." he laughed.

"Well normally we are doing something." I tell him.

"Yeah yeah, but I'm just saying you should." he grinned. He always walked me part way through the school at the end of the day and then we would split up.we approached the spilt up part of the hall.

"Okay, text me about it. Bye!" he said to me and I waved and went on my way.

When I got home it was the same list of chores, and then an extra one that I would forget and get yelled at for. But today for some reason I was feeling extra sassy.

"I don't get you." I mumbled at my mom, and hoped she didn't hear.

"What?" she said in this tone of voice that if I said the wrong thing I was in deep trouble.

"I don't understand you." I repeated.

"And HOW SO?"

"I don't get how you can go back and forth on things. You're constantly changing your mind and you expect me to know exactly what you're thinking! I don't understand!" I say and throw my dusting cloth on the table. I didn't want to hear her answer to just started walking away.

"I don't understand why you're being such.. Such a spoiled brat!" she huffed at me. I didn't look back and my eyes swelled with tears.

I went in my room and sniffed tried to make them go away. I shut my door and sat on my bed and tried breathing. My phone started ringing and I expected it to be my father, because my mom like to tell on me to him if I ever say anything to her.

But it wasn't. It was a person marked by the name of 'Espinosa'.I had to answer and I wanted to act natural like nothing was wrong.

"Hello?" I answered.

His pov*

"Hello?" she answered. Her voice sounded different, kinda. I couldn't quite tell what it was.

"Hey, I'm calling because you normally always respond after school. I just wanted to check in." I said to her.

"Oh.. Yeah I was.." she said then sniffed.

"Uh I was cleaning." she added.

"Sage, what's going on? Are you alright?" I ask her.

"Yeah, it's nothing. So what did you text me about?" She's asks me avoiding what I had said.

"Just about this weekend. Are you sure you're okay? Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No, I'm good. Yeah so you wanna hang out Saturday? Is that what this is about?" she asks.

"Yeah.. And my parents wanted to know if you wanted to go to the game.. I mean if you what to, you dont have to-"I explain and was cut short.

"I want to. Where's it at?" She asked.
