His pov*
"Are you gonna let me try that orrrrrr?" I asked from my laying position in the hallway.
"Okay this isn't no movie or fairytale book Espinosa." Sage laughed from the bathroom. She was standing straightening her hair in the mirror as I laid bored on the ground on my phone.
"What do you mean? I've just never done it" I stated trying to convince her.
"You want to straighten my hair? What if you burn it off?" She joked and I stood up an she looked scared.
"I swear to god Matthew" she said sternly as I took the straightener from her and tried my best.
"Although I cringe every strand you grab, can we talk about how great it is having someone playing with your hair?" she smiled at me in the mirror.
"Don't talk to me I'm concentrating." I joked.

We got dressed up in our school gear and I waited for what seemed like forever for Sage to finish getting ready.
It was really 15 minutes. I was secretly impressed at the speed and what the final product was. Well she looks great all the time to me, it's just it happened so quickly.
My parents were cool with having her over, and were quite confused about her staying the night, I could tell. But they didn't ask questions. I'm sure Sage will tell them sometime and it will all work out well. Also, ironically my parents had planned a date night for themselves anyway so we weren't in their way and they weren't in ours. We drove down to the school to hit up this varsity basketball game.
"You know what would be really cute, cool and awesome?" Sage said quite enthusiastically.
"Me?" I laughed and locked the car doors.
"Yes but-" she smiled. She held out her hand.
If I could only describe the looks we got walking hand n hand into the gym. You know the feeling when you know somebody is looking at you. Imagine that by everyone that can fit in your high schools gymnasium. Sage smiled shyly and said to me quietly, "Just starting rumors so when it happens it's not too much of a surprise."
I thought about that alot that whole basketball game.
We found Tyler,Ethan, Jacob and Will up in the bleachers and there was some room for us to sit. I saw all of them high fiving and giving me a thumbs up when we walked in. These assholes I call my friends. I love em anyway.
Hannah ended up coming and sitting with us. Having a thing with Tyler and being a good friend of Sages it was only natural that she would sit with us.
"I didn't know you were coming!" Hannah said when she came and sat down.
"Yeah, I didn't either until a little while ago!" Sage told her.
Her pov*
"Sage" Hannah said and turned to her.
"What does this mean?" She smiled and looked up at me. She was talking in a hushed voice so I barely heard her in the loud and noisy gym. She looked at Matt and I's hand grasped and in Matthews lap.
I just grinned.
"Sage" She shrieked quietly.
"Cmon tell me" She said impatiently.
"There's nothing to tell." I said with a smirk on my face. She sighed and shook her head lightheartedly.
"Kelsey and Emily probably would've came if they knew you were! You never come to things like this!" Hannah said to me.
