Warnings: mention of blood I guess? It's just a descriptor

My character: Roman King
Your character: 🌼 (any Sanders Sides character except for Remus, Emile, Remy, male ocs)

Everybody has a soulmate, and whether or not you decide to meet them is up to you! Any mark made on your skin appears in the respective place on your soulmate.

🌼's arms were always covered in the most intricate drawings by the time Roman was 10. He loved drawing and painting so much, and he wanted to share that joy with whoever his soulmate was. He even had multiple different colored pens and markers that he would carry wherever he went. It was never anything permanent. He had learned the hard way that red sharpie right next to your nails looked a lot like blood. He knew that this was a great way to communicate with his soulmate, but honestly, he didn't really want to know who it was. He wanted to be surprised when walking down the street. How romantic would that be?

However, as he got older and reached the age of 16, he realized that he didn't really ever feel...love. He didn't experience that burst of attraction or anything at all. He had his friends and that was it. It was strange to see everybody dating either their soulmates or someone else because they hadn't found their "special someone" yet, but he just didn't understand it. It wasn't that he thought people should wait for their soulmate..! He just...didn't get it. He thought he was broken. This soulmate thing was all about love, but how could he love his soulmate if he never felt that way about anyone else?

Eventually, he learned what it meant to be aromantic and asexual, and everything clicked. It just made so much sense! But now was the worry that whoever his soulmate might be wouldn't understand. That they would be confused and hate him, that they wouldn't want to be around him because he couldn't love them. Now he kept his head down as he walked down the halls and along the street, always wearing his theater jacket or something long sleeved. He wasn't sure if he ever wanted to find that person anymore.

It was 🌼's first day at a new school. They shared a few classes with Roman, although he pretended not to notice. The chances were low, but not zero. However, he was forced to finally interact with them during their class right before lunch, as they were paired together for an art project. Roman glanced up and flashed his usual charming smile before introducing himself. "Greetings, my name is Roman! You're...🌼, correct?"

Your character can be on the aro or ace spectrums (or both) if you'd like, but it's not necessary. I think that's all I have to say for this one!
