Sahara's POV
Groaning I threw myself on my bed, "I just don't know what to do Li,"
"Well it's not my fault you like two guys at once Sari,"
"I do not like two guys at once I just...find them particularly interesting,"
"You like them Sahara, and I can't blame you but you have to choose."
"I can't choose, one I've had a crush on since I was 9 and the other was my first boyfriend. It's not exactly an easy choice,"
"Where even is Cassim now? You haven't seen him in a while right?"
"He's been working at the stables, everyone thought that was a good punishment for him,"
"Damn I wanna date you, he almost tried to bring back the man who destroyed the city and all he got was the stables?" She said in a sassy tone.
"The point is, I have seen him... but he hasn't seen me."
"How so?"
"Well sometimes I go watch," I bit my lip nervously.
"Like secretly?" I nodded. "Then why don't you talk to him?"
"I would but I'm just scared. What if he won't talk to me?"
"Says who? That guy was crazy for you Sahara,"
"Yeah maybe too crazy," I sighed. "Am I out of my mind for still feeling something for him after what he did?"
"Not entirely," I rolled my eyes, "He's a nice guy and he liked you but,"
"But what?"
"He did what he did once Sari, he could always do it again." Lian came and sat next to me, "Follow your heart but don't think with it. I'm not saying choose one or the other, cause if I'm being honest no one has ever deemed worthy of someone like you,"
"Like what?"
"Smart, and funny and talented. I wouldn't best friends with some dummy,"
I couldn't help but giggled, "Thanks Lian,"
"Just take your time with it, and if you want to know how you feel about Cassim, go talk to him. I'm sure it'll all work out," she smiled. "Look I've got to go help mother with some things but go, I promise it'll all work out at the end. And thats a promise from my half genie side."
"Whatever you say,"
For a second I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. It was all okay, I just had to relax. I quickly pulled my hair back and headed out and on my way to the stables. Quietly I managed to sneak through the corridors and down. Suddenly I heard people coming up behind me. As I went to walk backwards, I felt myself hit something, or perhaps someone. "Oh sorry I—"
"Princess," Cassim wiped his pants clean. "I mean Sahara, I mean— Princess," he bowed.
"Oh you don't have to —"
"What are you doing here?" He quietly said as he raised his head.
"I... got lost?" I smiled nervously.
"Lost? In your own palace?"
"Yeah, its huge you know?"
"I know," he grinned. "So what can I help you with? Do I need to escort you back?"
"No, I think I can find my way back upstairs."
"Are you sure you won't get lost?"
"I'm sure,"
