Sahara's POV
"Okay, I know how this looks and it's not good."
"Yeah, talk about terribly bad," I crossed my arms, "Look you don't have to explain yourself Lian, I saw what I saw and—"
"I'm serious Sari please, just let me explain." Rolling my eyes I let out a breath.
"Fine,"
"Okay, look, when you left like that I felt really bad about what I said and Amir went to comfort me—"
"So what he tried kissing you to make you feel better?"
"I don't know, all I know is after we spoke he basically told me like me and then he started leaning in and I was going to push back but then you came inside and it all happened so fast. The point is I wasn't going to let him kiss me Sari, I wouldn't do that to you..." She sighed and grabbed my hand, "I promise, and I'm really really sorry,"
Softly I let out a hiss, "It's fine I guess..."
"Wait really?"
"I mean if you really didn't mean it—"
"I really didn't, I mean, it wasn't really me so..."
"Then yeah I guess."
Lian's face lit up as she threw herself at me, "Oh thank you thank you thank you." As she pulled back I noticed she had tears in her eyes,
"Are you okay?"
"Oh gosh yes I'm fine," she wiped them away, "I'm just glad I didn't lose my best friend."
After hearing that I started feeling tears of my own coming out of my eyes, "I love you so much,"
"I love you too," she giggled, "Speaking of love, do you actually like that guy? Cause he's kind of a douche," Lian scrunched her nose.
"I guess I don't, I mean I did like him at first but eventually it all just faded,"
"Jokes on him then, he missed out on the coolest princess ever."
I giggled, "Yeah I guess, I don't know..."
"So who do you like?" Lian smirked at me, "Because I couldn't help but notice sparks flying between you and that guy that went outside with you today."
"Who Cassim? Umm I don't know, I mean he's really sweet and funny but I don't know him that well. Besides, I think I should lay low on the boyfriends for now." I laughed.
"Yeah I think so too, but hey you never know. Sometimes things come to those who least expect them."
"Oh yeah, like who?"
"Like you... I always wanted a best friend and I don't know if it was the 50% genie in me that got it to happen or whatever but I wish for a friend my entire life and I didn't just get a friend, I got you."
"And what am I then?"
"You're my best friend, but you're more than that, your my sister."
"Thank you Lian,"
"No, thank you, you could've been all stuck up and princess like but you didn't care that I lived in a ship full of rats or that I didn't own a dress for every hour of the day. And that to me was worth more than any boy or expensive thingy. So thank you,"
Before I could say anything else my mom came through the door, "My girls, I love you both so much and I'm so proud of you,"
"Mom, were you listening the entire time?"
"No, just the end, but it was enough." She smiled, "Thank you Lian,"
"For what?"
"For teaching my girls that no matter who you are or where you come from, everyone is worthy of a person who cares deeply for them,"
Lian giggled nervously, "Thank you for allowing me to be here to do that."
"You're always welcome here baby girl," she gave her a hug, "Now come on, foods ready and I'm sure you're both starving."
"Right about that, race you to the dining hall Li." I quickly ran out.
Jasmine's POV
Smiling at the girls, I took a moment to look around Sari's room until suddenly an knock interrupted my train of thought. "Hey dinners ready aren't you coming?" Al smiled as he came in.
"Oh I'm not really that hungry, it's alright you guys can go ahead."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure," Aladdin raised his eyebrows at me. "I promise Al just go." I giggled.
"Alright, do you need me to bring you anything."
"Like I said before I'm fine love. Go, I'm sure the kids are waiting." Aladdin nodded and left the room before I followed.
Shutting the door lightly I headed to my old chamber and sat in my vanity with a pen and paper. Having my daughters birthday didn't mean I could quit being a sultan for a day. After a while of completing some work I undid my hair and brush it lightly.
Suddenly I felt the door push open, "Who's there?" I asked startled as I got up.
Tiny footsteps quickly caught my attention. "Mommy." Kal said as he ran up to me.
"Baby, what's going on, why are you up so late?"
"Why aren't you with Bubba?"
"What?"
"He said you were coming soon and we fell asleep but you weren't there when I woke up."
Giggling lightly I picked him up and sat him in my bed, "Mommy has to work sometimes sweetheart. It doesn't mean anything bad, it just means mommy gets less sleeping hours."
"Oh, well, come on sleep." He jumped and ran to the door.
"Hold on there little guy, what are you doing sleeping with us still? I thought you were a big boy." I said crossing my arms.
"Ali said you always let him sleep with you." He pouted. "I don't like the dark it reminds me of the ship. It was lonely there, mommy."
Immediately my heart sunk to my stomach,
I could feel my eyes forming tears, but before they could I took a glance up and a deep breath as I turned to look back at Kal. "I was just kidding love, come on let's go to bed." I smiled lightly as I grabbed on to his tiny hand.Kalil dragged me to my chamber and strongly pushed at the door. Aladdin was so knocked out, he didn't even flinch. Kal didn't hesitate to jump into bed as I went to get changed.
Sighing I looked in my jewel box for my mothers hair pin. "I wish you were here to help me make this right mom." And just like that I put it down and headed to bed. "Goodnight my little prince." I gave Kal a kiss on the forehead and dozed off.
