Jasmine's POV

Slamming the door open I walked into mine and Aladdin's bedroom. "Ahh will you be more quiet? My head's about to explode." Aladdin groaned as he woke up.

"No you be quiet and you listen! I've stated this a million times and I don't think its necessary for me to say it again, our children shouldn't suffer the consequences of ours discussions."

"What consequences?" He sat up.

"Aladdin you haven't been home in days, it's Sari's birthday in four days and we haven't had a proper conversation since—"

"Since you didn't allow me continue the conversations you wanted to have, Jasmine,"

"I'm not discussing that with you right now. I'm here to talk about the fact that I waited all day for you yesterday so we could come to an agreement and be civil on our daughters 16th birthday but instead I had to carry you upstairs because you were drunk? What even is that Al? I don't even know who you are at this point." Aladdin rubbed his eyes and took in a deep breath.

"Look I'm sorry about that but you can't blame me for being gone when there's nothing for me here,"

"Your children are here, and they want their father Aladdin," Sighing I put on a serious face. "Which is why you're getting dressed, fitted for your outfit for friday and we're going to pretend everything is fine for our daughter. Do I make myself clear?"

"I'm not going to—"

"I said do I make myself clear?" He nodded. Walking out I stopped before closing the door, "Sahara's training is progressing well, if you wanted to know. I also spoke to her briefly a few days ago, she said she'd like to study languages so she's taking a break for a while until she's finished. Just thought you'd be interested considering your persistence of her training not being appropriate for her."

"Jasmine—"

"I don't feel like talking right now, if that's okay." He didn't utter an another word and I walked out.

After spending some time in the garden with the Bella and Kal, I went to have lunch with Dalia.

"So should we address the elephant in the room or?" Turning to her I furrowed my brows. "Guess that's a no," she took a sip of her tea.

"I just don't want to talk to him or about him right now."

"And what about Sahara, how's she doing? Only a little time left before she's officially become a young lady."

"She's doing really good, she listens to me and I listen to her... it's all working out."

"Liana said she wants to pursue languages, not a bad topic of study for someone who aspires to be sultan."

Smiling I nodded, "I know, I'm so proud of her, I just wish she didn't have to grow up so fast."

"Tell me about it, Lian's been driving me crazy lately, she's turned into a whole grown up in just a few months. I truly wasn't ready for that."

"And what about Li, what are her plans? Sahara told me she also enjoys politics if you'd like I could set up some lessons for her."

"Really?"

"Of course, especially if it means she stay's here along Sari, doing hefty work of course."

"Seriously?"

"Well Lian's very wise and headstrong, Sahara will need someone like that by her side that isn't me. That's if she'd like to do it of course,"

"Oh I'd have to ask but I'm almost sure she'd be thrilled," She smiled, "Thank you Jas,"

"Always Dal,"

"So enough about us, tell me what's going on between you and Aladdin?"

Rolling my eyes I put my tea cup down, "Well it started out as a fight to a silly disagreement and now...I'm not even sure."

"Have you talked to him about it?"

"We have tried but we just have very opposite points of view on the situation so it doesn't work,"

"Oh come on, try me. What are these two opposing points of view?"

"Well the other day we were talking about how we rushed into things when we were younger, getting married so fast and having the kids and then he said....he said the way we were training Sahara wasn't working for her, that she wasn't ready to take her rightful place as heir,"

"Okay, and what do you have to say about that?"

"I think that it's hard at first, and it was for me, but I trust the process just like my mother did. In the end it all eventually worked out, and as of right now it is working. Especially now that she knows what she wants put her focus on rather than overthinking her entire future."

"Isn't that what Aladdin wanted though?"

"What?"

"That her training be molded to her liking?"

"I mean I guess but—"

"And isn't that what you're doing right now?"

"I think so?"

"Then what's the problem? You both proved your arguments correct, you trusted your gut and got it to work out but you also found a way to make it work for Sari." Dalia raised her eyebrows at me. "Or is there something else going on that you both still have yet to figure out?"

Looking down I took a second to think, there were a lot of things Aladdin and I had yet to work out. Me getting over the fact I spent an entire pregnancy alone was one of them, the fact that to him I still wasn't a good communicator was another and all that just rolled up into one clearly was a huge problem, "I think, we just have a lot to work out," I sighed.

"Then work it out,"

"I don't know how Dal, I don't think any of those things are easily fixed,"

"Then don't expect them to be, but at least acknowledge them, Jasmine. I get sometimes life gets hectic and its easier to just avoid your problems and let the sadness take over but you're not 20 year olds anymore, Jas. Those days are long over, and I'm sure if you guys could get over all those petty discussions you had when you first started dating and were newly weds then getting through this should be a breeze,"

"I just don't know how, I've tried and thought but—"

"Don't think about it then, let it happen. Just try to not avoid each other so much,"

"I'm afraid its too late for that,"

"Why?"

"You don't even want to know,"

"Well whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be resolved okay? Just relax, focus on the kids and Sahara's birthday, I'm sure this'll all blow over soon."

"Let's hope,"
