Chapter 6: CLOSE

After spending like three hours together, Abie left to his room but on the way to his room, he crashed with the flower vase, it fell and broke down.
Because of the sound it made, everyone woke up and came to see.
Thank God Abie also came out of his room to see too.
"How did this happen?"Mrs.Magie said.
"It's possible it might have fallen because of wind."Abie said.
"Wind from where?"Mrs.Magie asked.
"Let me check. Oh I see, I had left my window open."Abie said.
"Okay go to sleep then."Mrs.Magie  said.
Abie sent me flying kisses when everyone left. He waved me a goodbye and I went downstairs to my room.
"That was close." I told myself.
Before I could sleep, Abie called me through a video call.
"Wife, am sorry I know you want to sleep but have you liked my acting?"
"No, I haven't liked it. Don't think they are fools. They might suspect something especially your mother."
"You are right about that but am not afraid of anyone when it comes to you my love."
"I know you can do anything possible for me."
"Not only the possible ones. I can make the impossible possible for you, wife."
"Okay good night darling."I said blushing. He was just too much but whatever it was, I didn't wish him to stop but it was so late at night and we were sharing the same roof with his parents.

"Good morning Casie."
"Good morning sir." I replied to Mr.John, my secret father-in-law.
***Mr.John***
"You see, Last night I noticed something cooking between you and my son.
I saw how the two of you looked happy and whatever you did, am well aware of it.
But that's not the problem. The problem is that Abie might be using you as he had never told us about his girlfriend.
I am sorry if I have ruined your beautiful morning by telling you all this after all am a father.
The way I feel hurt when seeing my child heartbroken is the same way I feel seeing someone else's child heartbroken.
If Abie is serious about you and wants to marry you and make you part of his life, that I have no problem with it. But if he is just attracted to you for a short time, I advise you to ask him to stop.
I know you love him because last night you were so happy when he was holding you in his arms. And telling him to stop might be difficult for you but don't worry, am here. I am his dad so I can help you if you let me to.
I can talk to him myself and ask him to leave you alone if he doesn't mean his words to you.
