Chapter 5: MEETING TRINA

"How are you doing Dad." Abie greeting his father when he came inside the house.
"How are you sir." I greeted.
"I am fine. And who is this young lady?" 
"She is Casie, my best friend. Actually she is my OG as well.
"Oh nice to meet you girl." He smiled.
"My pleasure sir." I said.
"Your face doesn't seem new to me. You resemble Gabera's daughter. Her family migrated from this side long time back." He said.
"No sir. I don't know anyone called Gabera. My dad was Mr.Sani but unfortunately he died four years ago."I replied.
"Oh sorry. And is your mom alive?" He asked.
"Yes, she is healthy and fine."I said.
"Abie show her to the dinning room and get her something to eat." He suggested.
"Trina, come here." Mr.John called out.
"Yes sir." A young lady said with her knees down. She was Trina, their maid.
"Go and serve Abie and his guest ."he ordered.
There was a problem, we had packed our clothes together and here Abie is introducing me as his friend to his parents.
Being his friend, it meant we would sleep in different bedrooms.
His mom came home very late and yet Abie and I were very tired so Abie postponed what he wanted to tell his family.
I was directed to sleep in the guest room that was on the second floor as for my husband Abie was to sleep in his room on the third floor.
It was difficult for me to stay away from my husband on the second night of our marriage. It was difficult for Abie as well because he came to my room when everyone was asleep.
"Open for me wife. It's me Abie."he whispered.
"Why have you come here?" 
"I am here for you my wife. Aren't you happy to see me here?" I thought you were missing me then I came." He said crossing the distance between us.
"Are you crazy. What if anyone sees us."
He went back and closed the door and then came to me.
"Yes am crazy for you my love. I can't afford to be without you not even for one night. That's why am here."
"I see that but why didn't you tell them the truth in the first place."

"It was already late and this is a big issue. It can't be solved in just an hour and I knew you were tired that's why I postponed telling them because I care about you so much."
"But how will you start this since you didn't tell them anything about our relationship, wedding and what not."
"That's the problem,I don't know where and how to start this but you don't have to worry am here. I will make things right, you will see."
"I know you will my Abie." "I am sorry Abie, how can I tell you that your mom is my dad's murderer and you can't do anything to set this right."I thought.
At first I thought of disliking Abie for what his mother did but then I thought again, Abie was still a little boy when his mother killed my dad so he wasn't at fault. The poor Abie was innocent so I shouldn't punish him for the crime committed by his evil mother.
