History/Quick backstory: Alex is an orphan and she was a ward at Castle Redmont. She never knew her parents, just the people who were her wardmates (Will, Alyss, Jenny, George, and Horace). During the Choosing Ceremony she applied to the Kitchenmaster and the Diplomatic Service. The Kitchenmaster chose her and Jenny. Alex always dreamed of being a Ranger (but she couldn't apply because she was a girl). The next morning she left the ward and went to work in the kitchens, cooking and baking for the castle. As she grew older she started dreaming about leaving the fief and exploring on her own. That was when Alyss and Pauline approached her. And so she started working as a Diplomat/Courier part of the time. This role allowed her to go on adventures and see the world.
