Chapter 25

Azura lands in his own timeline and is immediately filled with a sense of dread. As he runs between all the once-familiar landmarks he can't find any other members of his team, and everything blurs together under the disgustingly bright corruption. From the plains, he sees a blue laser fire into the sky from the Capitol City of DreamWorld. Knowing exactly who fired it, he takes off running.

Nova and Luna stand on top of the highest building in the Capitol. Holding hands, they fire beams of light from their vantage point, causing destruction everywhere. Azura arrives at their location and looks up at them, only to see them under the same trance as Koto, broken beyond belief. They spot Azura and call out to him in unison, "No one can stop me, so long as She watches over us!" The girls smile wide as they jump off the building and fire another beam at Azura. He jumps back to avoid it, "No...no no no!" The girls land and face him, "There you are~! Now I'll make sure I finally get the happy ending I deserve!!" Azura steps forward, "Both of you, stop this-! I know this isn't you... Come on, come back to me!" they break away from each other and charge at Azura from both sides. Azura jumps up to avoid them both, "Oohh no...", he realizes that he may not be able to just talk his way out of this one. He didn't want to hurt them but if it was the only way to calm them down what choice did he have? He quickly dives back down for a landing. As he does, Nova and Luna individually fire their own barrages of magic projectiles. Azura ducks, causing the girls to hit each other instead, "(Forgive me for this, Sister...but this is the only way I can save you both!)" He summons his sword and hits both of their legs with the blunt end, causing them to fall over. Nova gets up and charges at him but with a swift motion, Azura grabs her arm and throws her into Luna. The girls collect themselves quicker than Azura expected. They join hands, "I've had enough of this!! YOU WILL BE E- E̴͜-́̕-̧H̢̢͡H-͢-̷͘-HE͜--L̸P̛--́-H͟EL̵̵P͟ ERADICATED IN THE NAME OF JUPIT-- E̴R--͏̵H̕E̢҉R͏̨--̶̀͢-HUR͘-̨-̨-͢H͏͝URT̢͏S̛͡-҉͏--H͜E͘͞͞LP-͝-̵̢H̢͞ÚRT̀͡S̡̡̀" At that moment, Azura knows what he has to do to get through to them. It would hurt but he knew it was the only way. The girls stand up and prepare a decisive attack. Azura lets his guard down, "Sis, don't do it!" As Nova and Luna fire the attack, they cry out,

"NEVER LEAVE AGA---͟͟A-A҉͟-͢-͘͘A̴͜-͏̕A̧-̢́̀A͜-̛͟͡A̧A̶A̶Á͡A̶͘͞A̢-̵͏́-̢̧N-̵̵̡Ņ̵N̡--̢̨-̸҉-̷N̕͜N̷҉O̸͏̨O͢-͡-͏O̡̨O̵O̵-̸̶-͝-̸ --IN."

Azura crosses his arms to shield himself but it does next to nothing against his sisters' magic, he takes the full force of the attack. As he falls to his knees, the girls begin to laugh.

And as they laugh, tears begin to pour out of their eyes.

And as they cry, they scream out in agony and hold their heads.

Azura looks up at them, "Yes...! Come on you two, fight it! You can do it, come on!" After another moment or so, the two stop yelling and go quiet. Azura watches as the corruption slowly starts to fade away, starting with Nova and Luna and spreading into the city and beyond. The girls come back to their senses at look at Azura with widened eyes.

Nova blinks, "hh- wh-...Brother-!?"

Luna cups her hands over her mouth, "N-No..."

"...What have we done...?" The girls look around at the destruction they caused, feeling immediate remorse. They vowed not to hurt any more innocent people in this life, and look what they've done now. "I- I didn't know-...I- I..."

"...Nova, we've done it again..."

"No.", Azura carefully stands up and holds his arms out, "It's ok." Nova and Luna run into Azura's arms and start to cry again as he hugs them tight, "I've got you..."
