Chapter 40

That night, everyone rests, recovering from the day's events. Everyone, except for Red.

("Are you ok?")

("...No. I'm not ok. I'm angry.")

"(...I'm angry too.)", she thinks to herself, recounting Straus' words. A fire begins spiraling in her chest, her hair begins to flow out in a strange demeanor. She then stands up, leaves Straus' Space, and makes a portal to Jupiter's castle.

A voice calls out to her as she traverses the area outside, "(Are you certain of this, Red? I know what you intend to do. It goes against Straus' ideals.)"

"I know...but someone has to do this...if we let her go, she'll haunt us. I don't want my Straus to suffer, or Koto, or anyone else. Plus, she made her daughters stab me...I'm not letting that go." She holds her side where Venus and Crescent's attack struck her.

"(I understand...but realize that they're your family now. And even if that's the case, they might see you differently after this.)"

"...I know...But I love them too much to let it go."

Red arrives at her destination. She goes inside the castle, no one was around to guard it anymore so it was pretty easy to roam around. She turns a corner and stumbles upon the throne room, and sees Jupiter staring right back at her, "Oh...it's you."

"You wanted me here, right? So here I am." Outside, dark storm clouds roll over Jupiter's entire Space as thunder and lightning crackle through the air. "Good...", Jupiter rises from her throne and summons a spear, "Now I can finish what I've started!" She calls down lightning only for Red to roll out of the way and fling fire at her, "I second that thought." She gets up and summons a blade made entirely of fire. Jupiter laughs mockingly, "Oh, I'm completely terrified! I'm simply quivering!" She charges at Red, who does the same. "You should be, Jupiter.", the two clash and sparks fly from their weapons, "This is payback for what you made them do to me!" Red shakes with emotion, Jupiter smirks. "I can feel your cowardice, Scarface... it's no wonder you're unfit to lead." Red's hurt by that statement, but doesn't deny it, "...You're right." Jupiter takes the opportunity to get a good hit in, Red gets knocked back but she doesn't falter. "...I am a coward... But I'm still going to fight! I don't run from my faults, unlike you." Jupiter grits her teeth, "I am a being of unbridled Purity! And what are you? A REJECT." Jupiter fires lightning from her, Red tries to push back the beams but she ends up getting pushed into a wall. Jupiter walks up to Red as she slumps against the hard marble and onto the floor. "Finally...", she laughs, "I SHALL END THIS." She raises her hand to deliver the killing blow but as she does the fire in Red's chest burns brighter and brighter as she thinks about her new family; she gets up and completely blocks the attack in a blazing flash of light.

"You...don't know the first thing about REJECTION." Red looks up at Jupiter, revealing her longer, fiery hair, and burning gold eyes, "You're nothing but a princess in an empty sandcastle who has A GOD COMPLEX." Jupiter takes a step back, the files on Scarface Red said nothing about this-! ...No, no this was something much more, something she didn't think of, something that Red managed to hide from everyone. What Jupiter was now facing, was Red's Beast form.
