Chapter 36

The next morning, everyone wakes up to get an early start. But what they didn't expect to see was the aftermath of what happened the night before.

Koto is the first to wake up, they stretch and yawn before rolling over, "Uwaaa? ...huh? ...Where's Straus and Red-?", she looks over to see the two huddled close together, still sound asleep. Koto gasps and quickly puts her scarf over her face to cover up the sound of her muffled squeals of excitement. This strategy, unfortunately, doesn't work the way she hoped, and she accidentally wakes up Saturn, Synthis, and Pandora.

Pandora covers her ears as she awakens, "Augh- what is that high pitched-", she turns to see her son and Red in a cuddle pile, "...oh!", she smiles, also trying to contain her excitement. "Ah, still together, are they?", Saturn asks.

"When did this occur??", asks Synthis, who never suspected this type of behavior from them.

"It occurred when we were asleep."

"Huh...guess you could say the current circumstances brought them closer together than usual?"

Saturn smiles, "Exactly."

Pandora smirks, "I suggest we let them sleep for a little while longer."

Soon after, DarkClaw arrives in the Space, excited to get the day started, "Aiiyyyy! So, what's the agenda of the Resistance today? I'm ready for some action!" Koto points at the still sleeping Straus and Red. DarkClaw cups his non-claw hand over his mouth and practically wheezes from the shock, simply overjoyed that Straus is experiencing something like this, "Oh-!!"

Unsurprisingly, Straus and Red wake up. They yawn, rub their eyes, and roll over to see everyone staring at them. "Gooood morning~!", gleefully greets Pandora. Straus and Red both blush in embarrassment, "...we can explain-?", stutters Red. "Don't worry yourselves", Saturn reassures, "We got the idea." "Cuuuuute~!", Koto whispers to herself.

Straus picks himself up and tried to play it cool, "Ahem- ok- uhm... so- anything new in regards to our plan?"

Red also gets up, "Yeah...we never really got to discuss that, considering we all needed rest first."

"I'm ready to fight, no doubt there."

"Can't say this'll be fun.", Koto chimes in.

"But", Pandora adds, "We're doing this for the good of the Multiverse and all Creators. So that everyone can make what they please without living in fear."

"Right-!"

Suddenly, Gaia warps in from her Space. "Dad-!", she's come to warn Straus and the gang of an oncoming attack; she was aware of the Resistance but still found it surprising to see her father among these folks that she had previously wronged.

Straus and Red back away from each other, hoping to avoid more unease from people seeing them together.

"Dad- I sense them- Crescent and Venus! They're coming here!"

Ajax glitches onto the scene, "She's right. They're on their way, they know we're here!"

Pandora steps forward, "Alright, kids. Rally up whatever troops you need. Remember, this is a dangerous mission, so bring those you know who can stand up to gods."

Straus looks to Koto and clicks his fingers "Roll call.", and summons in Azura, Nathaniel, Amadi, Ex, and DarkClaw, who readies their weapons. "For the resistance", Azura says while drawing his sword.

"Alright!", Koto snaps her fingers and smiles, "I choose you!", summoning Nova, Luna, Kali, Melanie, and Uriel. Uriel claps her hands together, sending out sparks, "Ready when you are!"

Ex fist bumps the air, "Let's show 'em what we can do!"

Everyone else follows suit, "YEAH!"

As everyone prepares to leave, Red goes up to Straus. "...Do you think we've got this?"

He takes her hand as they start to head out, "I know we do..."
