Chapter 28

When DarkClaw went back into his World, he was able to launch an evacuation with the rest of his team. Why did they need an evacuation?

Because Uriel wasn't holding back.

Koto, as a child anyway, didn't realize the scope of how powerful one's own creation can be. They had blessed Uriel with a backstory that gave her power not too far off from a fellow minor deity. But to Uriel, it was also a curse; she knew she was strong so she held back her full power to make sure no one got hurt. Hurting those she cared about was always her biggest fear. But under the control of Jupiter, that fear didn't matter anymore. Above the city she loved, she was conjuring a storm that, if not stopped, could destroy it.
Ex runs into the storm full force, knowing what he has to do. After a minute or so he skids to a stop and looks up to see Uriel hovering above the buildings. She laughs maniacally and calls out, "I will send even the Heavens upon those who doubt her glory!! THIS IS THE WILL OF JUPITER!"

"Uriel...no!" Ex looks at her hopelessly, he knows she wouldn't do this. He knows her true self is in there somewhere; he just has to get through to her!

"Mmuahahaaaa... isn't this wonderful?!", Uriel grins, "So much power that I've been holding back...and Jupiter says I can use all of it!! Protecting impure lives? HA! It's much more fun to ERADICATE THEM!!" Uriel claps her hands and calls down several lightning strikes. Ex dodges them, but still feels the static crackling in the air all around him. He would have to save her quick or else this storm would be too much for him to handle. He cups his hands together and calls out, "Uriel, stop!! This isn't who you are!" But Uriel does not respond, instead, she covers herself in electricity and flies down at rapid speeds towards Ex, ready to divebomb him, laughing as she descends. "Haha...HAHA! HAAAAA-", Ex jumps back but notices that just for a moment Uriel freezes in midair, "HAAA- H̢-̢-͟-̸ę-̶̡l̨͠-͠͝-̶̕p̶̸-̴͜͡-͝͏̕m̧͘͝-̶̶͝-̧̛͢͏e͏́͜-҉̸̛e̴̡͏-̡͘͞ȩ͢-̛͢e̕͜-̶̀ę͟-̛e҉-͞-͘- AAAAA!!" Uriel unfreezes and proceeds to crash into the ground, creating a shockwave of lightning that throws Ex backward. He flips and catches himself; he looks at Uriel and sees the corruption controlling her slowly overtaking her more as she continues to sport an evil smile. "Uriel. Please. You're in there somewhere, come back please!" Uriel suddenly drops the smile and frowns, "No!! I don't want to go back!! Do you know how frustrating it is!? To have worked so hard to get the power I have now, and I have to hold it all back?! IT'S NOT FAIR! THIS IS MY POWER; I GET TO USE IT!! THIS ISS̷S̸-̧S͘͘-́͡Ś̨S̸̛̀-̴̧̕-̸҉̸͘S̡̀͢͠-҉̴̢́-͜͏̡́͝N̴̡̛͢͠-̴̴̨̕͠҉-̶̵͘҉͝N̛̕͢͡͠N͟҉͏̸N͘͏̡͟-̵̸͠͡-̴͟͡T̷́́-̸͟T̶͢-̧̧T͞T̶ THE REAL ME!", she stops yelling and holds her head. Ex sees this and responds, "I know that this isn't the real you. And I know, because I've been with you all this time." Uriel falls to her knees from all the pain as she holds her head, the glitches around her intensifying. Seeing an opportunity, Ex runs up to her, kneels, and takes her hands. At first, Uriel tries to stop it by tightening her grip, hoping the pain will make him let go.

But Ex doesn't let go of his little sister.

And, soon enough, Uriel begins to cry.

As she cries the corruption slowly fades from the city and spreads out. Once it clears, the normally-confident Uriel is left crying and shaking from the panic left over. She pulls her hands away from Ex, "No- no no no nonononono- How could I have done this-!? I- I'm sorry-!!" Ex carefully hugs her. Uriel, wanting to repent for her actions, doesn't know what else to do except say "I'm sorry" over and over, Ex feels her shake in his arms.

"It's ok...it's ok..."
