Chapter 10

"PWEDE ka nang magpahinga bukas, Mamita. I'll take over."
I announced, habang nasa opisina kami. The theme of my office has change, again. But I don't mind.

Gulat akong nilingon ni Mamita. Her hair is now in a bun. She's wearing a turtle neck dress, with her signature natural look make-up.

"What? What's with the sudden?"

I sighed.
"It's been three months, Mom. Masyado na kitang naabala. You're supposed to be in a vacation right now, chilling, at hindi para mamroblema at magpatakbo sa kompanya ko. At isa pa, kaya ko na rin naman." sabi ko.

Tinitigan nya akong maigi, parang ayaw maniwala sa huli ko'ng sinabi.
"Did you talked to your husband, Sonia?" tanong nya, matapos ang maikling katahimikan.

I was stunned at first, remembering the fight we had last night. Hindi ko naman pweding sabihin kay Mamita iyon at baka ma highblood lang sya.

I straightened my back at kunwaring dinampot ang iilang dokumento sa mesa para kunwaring basahin.

"Yes. Nakapag-usap na kami nung isang araw."
I lied.

"And?"
Nag taas sya ng kilay at tinitigan ako sa mata, trying to see if I was lying or not.

"We're good, Mamita."

"That's it?! Tapos, hinayaan ka nyang mag trabaho ulit?!"

"This is my decision, Mom. Labas si Eros dito."

An exaggerated sigh escape her mouth and looked at me with disbelief.
"Sonia, I know you haven't recovered yet but–fine! I'll hand back your company tomorrow. Home was probably deppressing for you."
She mumbled the last sentence but I still heard it anyway. And yes Mom, it was.

HINDI ako umuwi kaagad, at nag stand by muna sa building. I visited the production area and I noticed some new faces in my employees. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako dahil alam ko'ng kagagawan na naman 'to ni Mamita.

Of course she handled the company for three months, plus I gave her permission to fire my employees if she ever caught them not doing their job responsibly. At mukhang sumubra yata dahil iilan nalang sa mga empleyado ko ang mga namumukhaan ko.

Mamita also raised Greta's salary pati narin kay Collins. She finds them trustworthy and professional, i can't blame her.

Bukod pa riyan, may mga nagbago din sa building. May pinapa renovate sya sa second floor dahil aniya, malakas naman daw ang benta ng mga products ko so why not improve the building.

She also asked if binista ko na ba raw ba yung mga social media accounts ko, alam nya kasi'ng simula nung nakunan ako nilayo ko muna ang sarili ko sa social world.

"Lily wants to send you some regards dahil hindi ka raw nya ma contact. She actually wants to visit you personally but I said you're still not okay kaya sa'kin nya nalang pinasabi."
she said. 

Lily was my highschool classmate, na hanggang ngayon ay kaibigan ko parin.

Not as close as Bhea though.

Speaking of Bhea...

"How's Bhea, Mom?"

She sliced her stake at nagtaas ng kilay. We're currently having dinner right now dahil sabi ko nami-miss ko nang kumain sa labas kasama sya, at pinaunlakan nya naman.

"After your surgery, maka ilang beses syang bumisita. But then you're not spoking to her so your poor best friend thought you were mad at her."

Napakamot nalang ako ng noo. Gosh! Ni hindi ko nga namalayang bumisita pala sya nun! I was completely lost with my sadness kaya hindi ko na namamalayan ang nasa paligid ko!
