Author's Note: I wrote this story during Covid and quarantine when I felt like the social disconnect was getting to much to bare. So, I hope that you guys like it.

It was an accidental call, a slip up in the numbers she had been typing in. But it had somehow lead Perrie Edwards right to you.

You were confused at first when the strange number popped up on the screen of your phone, requesting a FaceTime. And normally you wouldn't have answered it, but there was something in your gut that told you otherwise. And when her face popped up on your screen, you swore you couldn't breathe.

You could not believe your eyes. There was no way in hell that the Perrie Edwards was staring right back at you through her glasses, her golden hair braided back and out of her face that was devoid of any makeup, allowing for you to see every freckle on her skin.

Perrie flushed bright red. "Oh, I'm sorry. I've got the wrong number." You merely gulped in response, earning a quiet chuckle from the girl before you. "Do you always answer FaceTime calls from random strangers?" She teased.

You seemed to trip out of whatever trance you were in with a snort. "Do you always tend to FaceTime random strangers?" You snarked.

I took you a second to realize what you had said and immediately slapped a hand over your mouth. "Oh my God, I am so sorry." You apologized. "I don't even know where that came from."
Perrie merely snickered and shook her head with a smile. "No, it's okay. I actually thought it was funny." Then with an awkward wave at the screen and a beaming smile she introduced herself. "I'm Perrie by the way. Perrie Edwards."

"I know." You murmured. "B. B Rae."

Perrie smiled softly at you. "B." She repeated. "I quite like that actually." She paused and glanced back up at you through the screen, her head tilting ever so slightly to the left as she did so.

You couldn't help but think it was absolutely adorable.

After a moment, she sighed and shook her head. "I should go." She smiled shyly. "Sorry about," she waved her hands in a circular motion around her phone. "This whole thing. It was lovely to meet you B."

You nodded, still slightly baffled by what was happening and muttered out a "You too Perrie." With one last simple smile from Perrie, your screen went black and you finally felt like you were able to breathe again.

There was no way in hell that, that had just happened. And you knew that it was never going to happen again.

Except, it did, and it kept happening.
After the first accidental FaceTime call, you and Perrie kept in touch. She would send you little texts here and there or call you up in the middle of the night to chat. It was never anything over the top, just quick chats and gentle hellos.

But you found yourself beginning to like Perrie (well, even more than you already did). She was sweet and kind and always made sure to ask how your day was going, and you made a point to return the favor.

As the months flew by, you were actually beginning to consider Perrie as your best friend.

You had been in quarantine for over a month now. With the corona virus knocking at your front door, you had no desire to leave your home, let alone your room.

It was a difficult situation for you. You never really got along with your family and your friends were few and far between. So you spent most of your time held up in your room, listening to Little Mix and learning their latest single on your guitar.

You were frustrated and slowly driving yourself crazy. Between little to no social interaction and your new obsession with "Breakup Song," you were really heading towards the looney bin.

It all happened one evening, as you were picking slowly through the chords of your new favorite song, when your phone rang.

You glanced down at the strangely familiar number written across your screen and something turned in your gut. Without a second thought, you reached over and accepted the call, smiling ever so slightly when Perrie's face popped up on your screen.

"Wrong number?" You asked smugly.

Perrie shook her head and offered you a shy smile. "Not exactly. I was kind of hoping that we could talk. Y'know, and keep each other company."

You raised your eyebrows in mock surprise. "Is the Perrie Edwards, asking me to be her quarantine buddy?"

"Wow, you are extremely snarky when you're not caught off guard, ya know that?" Perrie snickered.

You merely shrugged, moving to set your guitar back down beside you and pick up your phone. "I've been told so once or twice."

Perrie rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up." She smiled. "I'm serious. I'm going mad over here."
"Honestly same." You laughed half-heartedly.

The two of you were silent for a moment, just revealing in each other's company. Allowing a comfortable silence to settle between the two of you, as you took in Perrie's appearance.

She looked beautiful, as always, her golden curls falling in waves over her shoulders. She wore glasses and a baseball cap, with her face, once again, devoid of any makeup; showing off her adorable freckles. And you couldn't help but smile.

Her voice brought you back to the present. "I didn't know you played." Perrie said, pointing down at your guitar, just barely in her line of sight.

You shrugged. "It's not something I really talk about." You admitted. "It helps pass the time is all."

Perrie nodded. "Maybe we could play together one day."

You couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, I would love that. Maybe one day."
