"I think this would look good on you." turo ni Kai sa isang rose gold bracelet na may maliliit na diamonds. It was really pretty but was too expensive! 'Nung tinanong namin ay isang milyon mahigit daw dahil rare ang diamonds!
"Cute." I nodded and pointed at the price. "But I'm broke." I whispered so that the saleslady won't hear us.
"Yeah but it's on sale." bulong niya pabalik, I scoffed. It was only 10% off! Still too expensive.
"Still, saan naman ako kukuha ng pambayad diyan? Sa dress pa nga lang na 3K eh muntik na akong mapahiya." I rolled my eyes.
He chuckled when he remembered what I said. "But do you like it?" he asked. Ngumuso ako at bahagyang tumango. It was really pretty.
"Miss, we're taking this." aniya sa saleslady. Tumango naman ito at umalis saglit para daw kuhanin ang mga papeles.
Gulat akong tumingin kay Kai na linalabas na mula sa pitaka ang card. "What the hell, Xavier?!"
"What? You said you liked it so I'm buying it for you." he shrugged.
"You asshole, that's too expensive!" I groaned.
"Language, Autumn." sita niya at pinitik pa ang noo ko. Sumimangot naman ako at kinurot ang tagiliran niya.
"We're not buying that, it's too expensive." inis kong bulong. Baka kahit habang buhay akong mag pinta ay hindi ako makakaipon ng ipapambayad para doon!
"It's a gift from me, hindi mo pwedeng tanggihan." aniya na sasagutin ko pa sana pero dumating na ang saleslady at may mga dalang papel na papapirmahan kay Kai.
Wala na akong nagawa nang makalabas kami ng jewelry store. He just spent more than one million pesos like it was nothing! Nakuha niya pa akong ayaing mag dinner sa mamahaling restaurant!
"You idiot, uuwi na tayo at magluluto nalang ako." piningot ko ang tenga niya nang akmang papasok siya sa restaurant. Napangiwi naman siya at ngumuso.
Being with Kai made me even more famous than I was before. Siguro ay dahil siya din mismo ay sikat at madaming nagkakagusto sa kanya. And with me being his rumored girlfriend, I am now a part of his spotlight. And I am loving it. My old fans are coming back, my enemies are envious of me again, and people are jealous of my life- considering the fact that I am the rich CEO's 'girlfriend'. Mukhang mas sumisikat na nga ulit ako kaysa kay Bethany. Just the way I wanted it. The way I always wanted it.
"Aren't you bothered? The internet is feasting on us." nag-aalalang sabi ni Kai nang makauwi kami galing sa mall.
"No, not at all. And you know me, I'm actually really loving the spotlight." I smiled and shrugged. Ibinaba ko ang bag ko at umupo sa sofa para kalikutin ang cellphone at tignan kung may mga bagong post ba tungkol sa'min.
Napansin ko din kasing pinagtitinginan kami kanina kaya siguradong issue na naman.
"Oh, is that so?" he looked taken aback. "Autumn, they're everywhere. I bet that if only they can, they would invade your privacy. That's okay with you?"
"We both know they can't, Kai. And chill, it's so fine by me! I'm finally getting my life back!" I said happily while scrolling through my feed.
I can't believe me and Kai have a fans club now, wow! And from 759K, my followers have reached 1.2M! In just two days! All thanks to Kai!
I felt like I was in cloud nine. This was how it was before, and finally, it's happening again! Maybe the only difference was that I was famous because of my acting skills before, unlike now that I'm famous because of Kai. But whatever, as long as I'm famous and everybody looks up to me, It shouldn't matter.
"Okay, if you say so. But tell me if it bothers you, okay?" bilin niya. Tumango naman ako at binalingan siya saglit para ngumiti bago ibinalik ang atensyon sa cellphone.
To add more fuel to the fire, I posted a stolen picture of Kai from last night while he was watching TV on my sofa. Hanggang anong oras kasi siya tumatambay dito madalas, minsan pa ay sa salas na siya natutulog kapag tinatamad nang umuwi. And I don't mind, alam ko namang hindi ako mapapahamak kapag nandito siya.
"Ah, I'm so loving this!" masayang sabi ko dahil wala pang isang minuto ay kumalat na kaagad ang picture na 'yun.
It surfaced all around Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and there were even a few articles about it.

Mom was obviously happy about it. Nang makauwi ako sa bahay ay tuwang-tuwa siyang sumalubong sa'kin.
"Unti-unti ka nang umaangat ulit! All thanks to that CEO of yours." ngumisi siya. Napailing naman ako at natawa habang nagluluto ng ulam namin.
Naisip kong umuwi ngayon dahil umuwi din si Kai sa family house nila. Ayaw ko namang maiwan nang mag-isa sa condo dahil nasanay na akong may kasama dahil sa kanya. Fortunately, my mom's here too. And miraculously, she's sober!
"I honestly don't know who they actually care about. If it's me or Kai. Either way, as long as I get a share of the spotlight, I'm good." I winked at her.
"Just a share? Don't you want all of it, hmm?" she bribed.
"Of course I do, mother. But if this is what the world can offer for now, then so be it. I'll start from here and work my way up. Easy." I shrugged.
Like what Kai once told me, it's a process. Everything will fall into place eventually, I just have to wait and be patient.
"I suggest you continue going out with whoever that guy is. Believe me, you'll be the Avery Vergara once again." she smiled meaningfully.
Tumango ako at desididong ngumiti. "I'll get my life back, mom. I'll do everything to get it back."
Ito naman talaga ang gusto ko noon pa. To bring back what once was mine.
And if using Kai is the only option I have, then I'll use him as much as I can. In all ways possible.
