{Hunter's POV}

I rubbed their head by the hair roots softly with my fingertips. Feeling the softness of their hair and the light scent of fresh breezes, and hints of blooming jasmines.

They just started to sleep calmly and peacefully, but I could get myself to sleep.
Not tonight.

Y/N needs to be safe, to feel safe.
But that is almost close to impossible, especially when they don't have their father around.
Nobody knows where he is, and apparently, not even the emperor.

I started to think back to the map of boiling isles, the map with X's almost all across.
It must be the map of places where he wasn't found, it must be!

In order to make Y/N safe again, I need to find him.
And I need to do it, now.

I got up from the bed and got myself dressed. Flapjack awoke by my noise and flew to sit on my shoulder. I gave him a little rub under their beak.

I opened the door to go out, but just before I do so, I looked back at Y/N.

Their blanket were on its way down off the bed, but they were still sound asleep.
I let go of my door knob and walked quietly towards them.

I lifted the blanket up to cover their whole body, leaving the head out of course.
While at the top, I glanced at their face.

How can someone so kind and have a heart made out of pure gold, have such tragic, hurting, traumatic events happening to them?

I reached my hand towards their face, lifting a bit of their hair out of their face, and lifting it behind their ear.

Something inside me was making me feel nervous as I continued to look at them. It was uncomfortable, but yet so...enchanting.

And before I realized myself, I was leaning down and kissed their soft cheek.
No dare or poison was effecting me in any kind way, just...myself.

As I leaned up again, I realized what I just done. My cheeks felt quite warm as I turned around towards the door again.

It's time to stop this mess. I looked back at Y/N one last time.

'They will be fine without me for a while, besides, it's for a good cause.' I thought to myself as I walked out of the room and closed to door gently.

I got myself to the secret room, where I first saw the map. The open book were just as it was left, same place and on same pages.

I picked up the book and looked it through. The X's were many, but I could still see places on the map where Mr. Alinac could be hiding where the guards haven't looked at yet.

I wonder why?

[Time skip]

With the map in my left hand, my staff in my right and Flapjack on my left shoulder, I was on my way into the forest.

The other guards have been into the other forests, according to the map, but I could figure out yet why this forest was left alone.

I continued to walk longer into the woods until something or someone was creeping around the bushes. I raised my staff and turned it on, making the enemy get an electric shock if they came near.

The bushes started to shake more and more, making me tense up.
I was ready with my staff, pointing at the bushes, and I felt Flapjack's small feet clenched against my shoulder.

It came closer. And closer. And the bushes started to rumble around even more, until..
it stopped.

I looked a little further down and saw some kind of creature..no, it was a palisman.
