"I love you."

{Hunter's POV}

After a few hours, many arguments, plan techniques, and enormous amounts cups of apple blood, were we finally done.

We were finally done with the escape plan in order to keep the Alinac family safe once again.

For good.

I raised up from my seat with my hands still down on the table, looking through the whole plan once more.

"For someone so young as you are, you have quite good strategic thinking" David exclaimed as he put on his cloak and picking up Ezra.

I looked up at him and smiled.

"Thank you sir, but it's probably the main reason that keeps me so focused on the plan. Everything must go smoothly in order to succeed." I answered and rolled the paper of the plan.

This made me not notice Mr Alinac's face turned to concerned.
He walked towards me and laid his hand on my shoulder.

"Are you sure you are okey with the fact that.. you can't let them know your true feelings?" He asked.

The second he asked that, I looked down for just a moment, obviously sad of what needs to be pushed away, but i quickly shake my head and looked up at him again.

"My feelings towards them can cause an issue to the mission, plus.. it is the best for them, for Y/N" I murmured and putted on my own cloak.

We were ready to leave the tent when suddenly, we heard the witches outside scream and spells fired.
Both me and David ran outside to see what was going on, when we spotted Oliver.

"Oliver! what's going on!?" David asked loudly to get heard over the screams.

"It's the coven scouts! They found us-" Oliver screamed and got shot by a spell in the back of his neck, making him fall down to the ground unconscious.

"Scouts?" I asked and looked over to the scene. Just as Oliver said, there they were. Making path ways and shooting spells towards anyone and everyone, they even put the witches in chains for those who already been captured.

I then felt David's hand take my arm harshly, dragging me away from the scene.

"We need to get out of here, come on!" David said and we ran towards the other way.

"What about the others?! aren't you gonna save them?" I asked as we ran.

"Most of them have already been captured, the rest of them will flee hopefully! Besides, you are a kid! you are a priority to protect, no matter how much skills you have!" David shouted.

We came to a dead end, or so I thought. It was until Mr Alinac punched in a few stones sticking out from the wall, making a hidden exit appear.

We quickly ran outside and kept on going.
Kept on running.

We stopped by the nearest coast to catch our breath. My legs were shaking for how much we ran.

"They hopefully, didn't see you back there" David breathed out. "But this is real bad luck for us, we might not be able to go through with the plan as we said, now when the scouts are close by and exposed us"

I held my hands on my shaking knees, taking in as much air as possible.

"No, we can still make it!" I replied.

"How?" He asked.

"Alinac!" Someone from the forest yelled and multiple footsteps came closer and closer towards us.

I got myself ready to fight and Mr Alinac stood by my side, doing the same. But turns out, they weren't enemies, but I didn't know if I see them as friends either.
