Worth It (N. Todoroki X Reader)

I decided to make an extras chapter because I did have some other ideas I had for this story, plus some of my writing process. There's definitely some unedited scenes in my notes app, and I thought they'd be interesting to share with you. Plus you get to see how much of a mess my writing process actually is.

Also, just to clear some things up: Yes, Y/n is infertile. After almost a year of trying for a baby, Natsuo brought up the idea of both of them taking a fertility test. Natsuo's results came back positive, but Y/n's didn't

And yes, Y/n was murdered by a future main antagonist for a story, Jason Bishop. More is going to be revealed about him when his story comes out, but know that he does wield multiple quirks, shapshifting and being able to get into your head being one of them.

In the last chapter, Natsuo starts questioning why Emi is at his family's house. The reason for this being because Ms. Joke was actually badly injured during an attack from Jason and needed medical attention. Natsuo and her doctor had just finished tending to her when Y/n called him, that's why he was confused. (And he was trying to warn Y/n that the person at their door wasn't Emi.)

Also in the last chapter, Y/n has a lot of contradicting thoughts. This is also because of one of Jason's quirks. He can enter people's minds and make them think or do certain things. Every time she contradicted herself was actually Jason entering her head and making sure she did what he wanted.

Also, this book will not have a sequel. I know the way I ended it kinda makes it seem like that, but it won't. I'm just planning for all of my fanfics to be in the same universe as others, so Jason's note to Zara will play a bigger role in a different story.

Now onto my thought process and ideas.

- Scene [Natsuo and Y/n were exchanging questions to ask each other and he asks her about her first kiss]:

"i've never actually had my first kiss"

*he leans in and kisses her*

"sorry I should've asked first"

*and she's like flustered yk*

"it's fine"

"so now you can tell me about your first kiss? how was it?"

and she's like "i'm not sure I think i'd need to experience it again" or SOMETING like that so they kiss again yk

This is a very fine example of me having ideas at two in the morning and writing them down before I forget. Also, these notes are DIRECTLY from my notes file for this fic

- Scene idea:
[yn is rambling about something trying to get to the point that she wants a kid]

"Hey, slow down," Natsuo said, grabbing my hands and intertwining our fingers. "I know if I let you ramble anymore we're going to be here for hours, so just tell me."

I inhaled deeply. "I want a kid," I said quickly.

Natsuo's eyes widened for a moment before he smiled at me softly. He brought one of my hands up, gently kissing my knuckles.

"I would love that," he responded. "However, you need to eat more if that's something you want. Not that I don't already love you the way you are, but I know that having a child can destroy your body, and the baby will take a lot of nutrients and energy from you while you're pregnant. You're already tired and low on energy as it is, imagine having another person inside of you. I love you, Y/n, but you need to build healthier eating habits if this is what you want."

Another fine example of how much fine tuning can do for a scene.

- at the wedding, one of Y/n's bridesmaids says at the end of her speech "and may the odds be ever in your favor" this is ironic because I plan on having Y/n die a little less than a year after they're married
