You, Eddie, Nancy, Robin and Steve were in the boat, rowing to a gate. You weren't 100% sure what was happening, you were just dragged along. You were brought out of your thoughts when Steve started stripping. You Eddie and Robin gave him weird looks while Nancy was trying to hide the glances she took. "Steve what the fuck are you doing?" You grabbed his arm as he was about to jump in the water. "Y/n, one of us needs to go see if the gate is here. I don't want you guys getting hurt, and by the looks of things Eddie's too busy crapping himself to go." Eddie through Steve a glare while clinging onto the boat. "Ok, well be safe and don't drown." You sighed letting go of his arm. Steve nodded before jumping into the water. Once Steve was gone the boat was full of awkward glances. Eddie cleared his throat, probably trying to make things less awkward though it didn't help of course. 

We all jumped when Steve shot out of the water. "Oh Christ!" Eddie screamed gripping your hand, you snorted at his reaction. "I found it." Steve said in between breathes as he swam closer to the boat. While Steve spoke to the others, you stroked your thumb over Eddie's knuckles. He turned his head to look at you and smiled nervously. Steve was going on about how big the gate was, when he ducked under the water. When he came back up not even seconds later he was pulled back under again. You all reached to try grab him but missed. Everyone was calling out for him. "What the hell was that, man?!" Eddie yelled freaking out again. "Nancy, really, what happened?!" Eddie and Robin where both scared while you watched Nancy, she seemed to have an idea. "Jesus!" You jumped at Eddie's screaming again and gave him an annoyed look. "Calm down!" You yelled causing them all to stop yelling.  Nancy stood on the edge of the boat, getting ready to jump. "Wait, wait, wait. You are not going in there, are you?" Eddie questioned trying to stop her. "Just wait here!" She told you all before diving in the water and disappearing. Eddie and Robin started yelling again, you sighed and held your head in your hands. Next person to decide to go for a swim was Robin. "Nonononono. What are you doing? She said wait." Eddie tried to stop Robin from going in too. "Yeah, I heard her." You watched as the two spoke. "She's in charge." Eddie pointed towards the water and Robin just gave him a disappointed look. "Are you kidding me? I made that shit up." Robin fell back into the water as Eddie reached out to try stop her. He was too slow and she too disappeared into the water. "God dammit!" Eddie yelled punching the side of the boat. "Son, of a bitch!" You laughed at his little tantrum and got up to join the others. "What are you doing, Y/n?" Eddie grabbed your arm, you smiled at him and placed your hand over his. "Well someone has to make sure they don't get themselves killed." You laughed as you leaned over the side of the boat, Eddie tightened his grip. "Ok, but who's gonna make sure WE don't die?!" He yelled pointing between you both. You shrugged before grabbing his hand and pulling him to the side of the boat. "C'mon, Eddie. I'll protect you. I promise." Eddie rolled his eyes as he got ready to jump in. "This is so stupid." He mumbled to himself over and over again. "Shit, shit, shit!" You both fell into the water as Eddie shook the boat. 

When you got into the upside down you saw Nancy and Robin running towards Steve, who was being attacked by some weird looking bat creatures. Nancy ran over and hit one with an ore that she had apparently brought with her. Eddie also had one but just stood in fear watching as Nancy and Robin started beating the shit out one of the bats. You just watched since you didn't really have any weapons. Suddenly you heard a screech behind you and both you and Eddie turned to see one of the bats flying towards you. "Shit!" Eddie yelled as he hit the bat with his ore. "Yeah! C'mon!" He yelled again as he struck the bat a few more times. You were frozen, you didn't know why but you just couldn't move or fight. Eddie had noticed and made sure to protect you. He ended up breaking the ore then later stabbing a bat through its mouth. 

You all watched as Steve slammed one of the creatures against the ground then tore it in half. He spat out some blood and that's when you noticed his wounds. Nancy ran over to help Steve, and Eddie yelled a few times before walking over to check on you. "Y/n? You ok? You kind of froze back there." He placed his hand on your shoulder and gave you a sympathetic look when he noticed you were shaking. He pulled you into a hug. "I told you we should have stayed on the boat." He laughs, trying to cheer you up.
