I met up with Jonathon and he walked me the rest of the way.

"Mom" Jon called "kitchen! " her voice yelled.  We stood in the doorway.

"Momma" I said Softly.  Joyce turned around and quickly smothered me in a hug crying.  "Oh my baby,  you've come back" she cried.  "Are you okay,  where have you been" she asked.  We sat down.
I told her about the new kids and how dad said I wasn't worth his time.  I told her I was living next to Hopper.  "He probably mentioned it,  but a lots happened this week" my mom said.  She went on to tell me what had happend the night will vanished and how no one could find him.

"We'll find him" I smiled. She headed to her room probably to grab a shower.  Jon looked at me.  "You and Billy" he said.    "I Literally just bumped into him today" I said.  "He lives next to Steve" Jonathan sighed. "I know" I said looking down. He didn't question.

After her shower and dinner I left with a promise to come back.  I began the short walk to hoppers. I took a detour though towards billy.

"Bit chilly out" a voice called.
"You gonna talk?" He asked.  Panic set in, I hadn't talked to Steve in a couple years,  for good reason.   "She only talks to me" Billy walked up throwing his jacket around me.  "Walk away Harrington" Billy said.. "Look sooner or later we gotta talk" Steve pleaded. I turned and tucked myself into Billy's side.

"Whatever Lou" Steve scoffed walking back to his house.

"Where ya headed" Billy asked
"Back to hoppers" I said.

Billy drove me home. And silently watched as I went inside. I heard his car peel away.

"Louisianna"

Hoppers gruff voice called from the couch.  "Its late kid" he said "I'm sorry" I said.  "We had an agreement salem" Hopper said sitting up.  "I know be home by 9, I lost track of time" I said.  "I know who's car that was Lou,  now what were you really doing" he asked.  I told him how I had went to Joyce's and then walked by on my way home.

"Then Steve stooped me" I said and Hopper tensed up.  "But Billy showed up, and then brought me home" I said.  "Lou" he started to say.   "Just go to bed I've got a night shift" he said. I nodded and went to my room.

I was working on an essay when there was a knock at the door.

"Doll please answer" the voice begged.

I opened the door to a bloody Billy. Gasping I helped him to the couch.

"Who did this" I asked.  "Don't worry" Billy said. I cleaned him up and asked again.  "Billy are you in trouble" I asked.  He shrugged lighting a cigarette.

"Lou, you've got your secrets I've got mine" he said  "you here alone?" He asked.  "Hopper works nights" I said.  "Can I stay over?" He asked.  I looked into his blue eyes.

I allow him to stay and we settle in on the couch because Hopper would kill me if I had him in my room.

Morning came and I woke up alone.

Luckily Billy bailed before Hopper came home.

"Lou, another kid is missing" Hopper said.
"Who" I asked grabbing my backpack.

"Barb" he said lowly. I dropped my backpack.

"Tell me you're lying hopper" I said starting to cry. Barb was my best friend and now her and my brother were missing and I didn't know what to do. Hopper wrapped his arms around me as I sobbed.

"Listen to me" Hopper said lifting my face to look at him. "I promise, I'll find them okay, you've got my word baby" he said kissing my forehead.

I just nodded and clung to Hopper as if he was the only thing holding me up.
You see, Hopper was different. Affections were shown depending on the person. Joyce? He talked sense to her, Steve, Nancy, the younger kids? He was the cheif that's it. But to me. Hopper was different. And I think it's because I remind him of his daughter.

After I had calmed down. Hopper left for work again and I stayed home
