-Centuries Ago-

    "He ran this way!"

"Cut him off before he escapes!"

Carver didn't know how everything could go so array. First someone who he considered as a sister disappears, only to find out she had been somehow trapped within what he could only conclude was an enchanted mist of some sort. And now people from Zeid's own royal court had been hunting them down like a pack of dogs.

No one, not even one who had Time Magic could have predicted this sort of outcome.

Carver had been doing his best to keep himself ahead from the Hunters the court had hired to capture him to harvest his mana for some sort of malicious purpose. All the while he kept something sacred to the elves close to his chest, taking extra care as not to drop it.

He soon stopped in his tracks as he realized a couple of men had been in front of him. He tried to run to the right, then to the left, then back where he came.

But no matter where he turned, he had been surrounded at all sides.

"Damn it--" Carver said with the click of his tongue, "--They got me."

Soon enough a man bearing the royal crest of Clover stepped forward as he had a sickening smile.

"So--You think you had us all fooled, did you peasant scum?!" The man said.

"I'm surprised you're this stupid, Old man--" Carver said as he couldn't help but smile, "--All this for what? Just because the King's offspring has an elf heritage and he genuinely fell in love with an Elf? Talk about crying over spilt milk."

"You of all people should know peasant--" The man said, "--The Clover Kingdom's bloodline is supposed to remain pure! Having someone who was born lower then dirt would forever taint and ruin all what our Kingdom stands for!"

"Oh please!" Carver taunted, "It's already been tainted with how Zeid's old man was running things lately! The Elves, hell even his daughter understand the kingdom and its people better then you ever could! The fact that you want to get rid of everyone that disagrees only proves my point!"

The man didn't say anything as he glared before he spoke again, "Carver Winchester--You are under arrest for betraying the Kingdom and aligning yourself with those---Savages! Your punishment for this crime is death by execution, effective immediately!"

Carver laughed, "You really think killing me will change anything? Hate to break it to ya, but it won't! You saw the mist with your own eyes didn't you? The true heir to Clover lies beyond it and you sir have no way of getting to her to get rid of her! As long as she's alive, as long as she stays in there--There's hope for all of us, royals and commoners alike." He soon flipped him off as he still had a smile, "Face it, you guys lost this game before you even started. How sad is that?!"

The man gave a growl as he said " Damn you! Take this! HUNTERS ATTACK HIM! KILL HIM NOW!"

The Hunters soon readied their grimoires as Carver had readied his own, as well as the stone in hand.

"I've heard what happened to the Triple A's mom when she used this to bring back someone from the dead--" He thought, as he shook a little, "--Knowing that fact--I have a strong feeling I won't survive the effect either. But if I'm going down--" His grin grew wider before he spoke aloud, "--I might as well go down in style!"

The man and the Hunters were taken back when his body started to glow  as the stone in his hand glowed a familiar blue color.

"What!?" The man exclaimed, "What the hell is this?!"
