Wren's arms were shaking, struggling to continue to hold her up. Droplets of sweat were running down her nose and falling onto the pavement and her shirt was sticking uncomfortably to her back. Next to her Hangman, Phoenix, and Bob were struggling to get though the pushups as well.

"197...198...199...200," Hondo counted down. "Alright, hit the showers, you're done for the day."

The four aviators all but collapsed onto the ground, breathing heavily. The sun, even as it set, was unforgiving with its heat. Hangman stood up and reached his hand down to help Wren up, who gratefully accepts.

The group headed to the locker rooms to get cleaned up after the day. Rounding the corner to the shower stalls Wren came face to bare chest with Rooster.

"Woah there," he said backing up a step with his hands raised. "I come in peace, no need to attack."

He clearly he had just come from the shower, as Wren could see water droplets still tracking down his body.

"Like what you see?" he asked with a raised eyebrow after noticing Wren's eyes following the water's path down his stomach.

"In your dreams Rooster," she said forcing her eyes to meet the taller man's.

"Don't doubt it, Atlas."

Wren just grabbed her towel and pushed past him. She could feel Rooster's eyes following her as she walked but she refused to turn back. Phoenix entered the shower room after Wren and dropped her stuff down on the bench looking at Wren expectantly. When Wren didn't say anything, Phoenix nudged her with her elbow, trying to stifle a laugh.

"What the crap was that?" she said finally.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Wren said.

"So you're just going to pretend that we didn't all just watch you and Rooster eye fuck each other in the hall?"

"I was not eye fucking Rooster."

"You're delusional. You couldn't keep your eyes off of each other."

"I'm sorry are you blind? Did you see him?"

"So you admit it!"

"I can appreciate some eye candy when it crashes into me."

"Sure sure. Well I bet you'll you have the chance to appreciate him a little more up close and personal if you want. Just promise me you'll stick to his room. The walls between our rooms are thin and I don't need to hear what you guys get up to. "

Wren tossed a towel at Phoenix's head and the two burst out laughing.

Wren pulled up to the Hard Deck noticing from the cars in the lot that Coyote, Rooster, Hangman, and Fritz were already there. Phoenix and Bob were parking at the same time, so the three entered together, stopping first at the bar to grab a drink before heading to the back corner where Hangman and Rooster were playing pool. Rooster was bending over the table lining up his shot, and Wren, never one to pass up an opportunity when it arose, made sure to brush up against him before continuing to the other side of the table leaning up against Hangman who put his arm around her. Rooster's breath hitched and he coughed to try to cover the slip, but as intended, he completely missed his shot, shooting the cue ball into the pocket. Rooster groaned as the white ball disappeared but raised his bottle in Wren's direction regardless.

"Classic Hangman, needing Atlas to do his dirty work," Rooster said when Hangman laughed at his poor shot.

"You haven't seen me do dirty yet Rooster," Wren replied, causing Bob to choke on his drink in the corner. Phoenix smacked him on the back as he coughed. Rooster raised an eyebrow and took a sip of his bear, not taking his eyes off of Wren. Everyone besides Bob was silent for a moment, looking back and forth between the two to see who would act first. The arrival of Payback and Fanboy distracted the group, and the mood quickly shifted back to the easy going vibe that was common in the bar.

A song queued up on the jukebox and Phoenix slammed her beer down onto the table.

"I love this song! Atlas, come on," she said grabbing her arm and pulling her towards where people were crowded to dance. The music was blaring and the energy was infectious as they started to dance. As the next song started up a few other members of their team had joined them singing and dancing, but Bob was still standing slightly awkwardly against the wall. Wren moved out of the throng of people and grabbed his hand, pulling him out to join her. She threw her hands around his neck and laughed at his face growing pale as he looked around.

"I don't really dance," he said loudly trying to be heard over the music.

"Doesn't matter, just loosen up and have fun," Wren yelled back. Phoenix moved to join them and put her hips on Bob's from behind. As the music died down, Bob had finally started to enjoy himself, laughing along with the women. Wren stepped away and moved to head to the bar but a pair of strong hands on her hips stopped her.  She was pulled back sharply until she was pressed up against a strong body.

"You didn't save a dance for me? I'm offended," Rooster's voice sounded deep and raspy in her ear. His arm came across her stomach, spreading his hand wide and digging his fingers slightly into her hip. Wren leaned her head back and turned into Rooster's face slightly so that she could be heard over the crowd.

"All you had to do was ask."

The pair continue dancing, with Rooster's arms remaining tight around Wren's waist and his breath hot on her neck. From across the crowd, Phoenix winked at Wren who simply laughed and turned to face Rooster. His dark eyes looked down into hers over the top of his aviators, and Wren froze for a moment as he licked his lips and leaned down towards her. Before he got even closer, Wren reached up and pushed his sunglasses up his nose, pulling away.

"Not the time, not the place pretty boy," Wren says.

"You're killing me Atlas," Rooster groans, "but at least you think I'm pretty."
