The Sun's P. O. V
A girl with a raven black hair and green eyes like gem walk towards her classroom, her steps heavy, she constantly looked down seemingly in deep thoughts. No smile was found on her beautiful lips, that appear as beautiful as ever.
She enter the classroom and found that there was no one, why would there be in such an early time. She slump down on her seat, and carelessly place her bag on the ground.
She let out a heavy sigh, tears slowly pooling in her eyes.
A feeling of helplessness shroud her, with a sense of defeat. Death is inevitable, no one can escape it. But, what's even more scary than the fear of it happening is waiting for it. It's like she is constantly on the edge, hanging on a thin thread that could broke any moment . That's even more torturous than the actual impact.
She knows it's going to happen , it will happen, very soon. And she can't do anything to stopped it, just holding her breath waiting for any unexpected news to come.
She didn't know how much time has passed, she sit in the same position not moving an inch .
She quickly wipe her tears when she hear a footsteps from afar picked up her bag and quickly leave before they even see her face.
She run to the bathroom and quickly washed her face, she stare at herself for a little more before she go away.
That day passed like she wasn't even involved aat all , it's like she stand on the sideline watching the clock tick by .
She walked towards the library, with a book in her hands. Hope finally appearing in her beautiful dim eyes , just a speck but there is indeed one.
Her steps were a little lighter, the thick clouds covering her eyes finally start to fade away.
Ellina stopped on her tracks, she pursed her lips in confusion as she narrow her eyes a little.
She watched Rue who slowly move away from the blonde that she was kissing, Ellina tilt her head a little trying to get a good look at the woman who was next to her whose face was not visible due to the student that was walking . She find her oddly familiar, like she had seen her somewhere else.
She had a clear and transparent blue eyes, with a soft and silky golden hair. Dress in a light blue plaid skirt and a crop with little white flowers on them, perfectly outlining her slender and elegant body.
She felt her heart dropped, she continue walking but just when she was about to passed by them she was stopped by a hand. She turn around staring at Rue with a questioning look, trying to stop the tears that was threatening to come up , her throat feel like something was stuck on them, she clear her throat finding it a little hard to breathe.
, “ I will not be able to come to the library today, ” she just nod, not wanting to talk afraid to reveal the cracked in her voices.
, “ I can come to your house after it if you want to check my progress ?” Rue offered, her voice unknowingly soften when she was talking to her, she watched her carefully not missing any of her expression.
Rue find Ellina weirdly quiet today, she seem a little daze too like something is bothering her.
Before Ellina could reply Jules interrupted them, “ Rue, who is she? Aren't you going to introduce her? ” she say holding Rue left arm like declaring that she is hers.
, “ Hi! I'm Jules . Rue's girlfriend ” she said extending her hand, with a cheerful smile .
, “ Ellina, ” she reply with a smile, but no happiness was seen in her eyes .
She really want to leave and be alone for now, she cough to clear the lump on her throat , “ You won't have to come today, we can just do it another time.” she said to Rue
, “ It was nice meeting you two. But, I will have to leave first” she walked away with the smile slowly fading from her lips.
, “ Rue, who is she? ” Jules said gently nudging her on the shoulder, Rue contemplate how to answer her. Who is Ellina to her? A friend ? Definitely not. Study partner? But, she had a feeling there is something more than that Or rather there should be.
, “ Miss Daphne, put us together as a partner. ” she didn't say what their relationship is, she didn't know if Ellina will like it if she say they are friend, so such answer is the best.
Ellina happened to hear their conversation, she accelerated her pace. Not a friend, acquaintance or relative, we are nothing but a stranger.
I thought that I had finally walk through the door,and that she was finally letting me in but I was wrong.
She had never let me in.
A call came, Ellina paused walking to a more remoted place, “ Hi, granny. ”
, “ Well, you know I've been very busy recently. I will try to make time? ” Ellina didn't say that she didn't visit her because she was afraid , she was scared that she would not be able to contain her emotion and let them loose. And she didn't want them to burden her.
,, “ I will come this Saturday, ”
, “ Umm, I promise. ”
, “ You want to introduce me to someone? ”
, “ I'm excited to meet Leslie too, ”
Ellina heard from her grandmother that Leslie was grandma previous neighbor, she had heard a lot about her. So, she was a little curious about her .
She would like to thank her for being there for her grandma despite her busy schedule and hectic life and never asking for anything in return.
She hang up after talking to her grandma , she let out a deep sigh. I really need to go home.
There is only disappointment when there is expectation, they say. If only it is that easy to control the heart .You are your greatest enemy and I too am my greatest enemy.
How will I ever be able to defeat myself, and be victorious. When will I be able to conquer my own heart and let it be at my command.
But, have any body ever conquer himself? By conquering oneself they conquer their heart, will anybody be able to do that?
