"mal! finally!" hazel grabbed onto my arm , taking me over to sage and annalise."hey mal." sage smiled at me , as anna just waved , downing a shot.
"you're already taking shots?" i asked her , i don't exactly know when the party started but it couldn't have been going on that long.
"it's been two hours!"
or maybe it could.
i just smiled at her , as she poured another shot and handed it to me.
"cmon! shots!" she talked loud , so i could hear her over the music.
she waited for sage and hazel to grab their shot glasses , before we all drank them.
"cheers!"
and then she laughed , watching mine and sages faces turn from normal to sour.
if there was one thing annalise loved most , it was partys.
"okay! let's dance!" she said , tapping my shoulder before running off to where other teenagers were dancing.
"jeez." i mumbled , following behind hazel and sage.
we all danced together , smiling and laughing at how poorly we danced.
soon enough , i had downed three shots , while hazel , sage and annalise.. i lost count.
"be right back!" anna said , waving as she made her way towards the bathroom.
"i'm gonna go with her." hazel laughed , following behind anna.
"and i'm gonna sit down." sage pointed at me , and then to the couch that was a little far away.
i started the follow her , having a hold on her hand so i didn't get lost in the group of intoxicated teenagers dancing around.
for a party a freshman threw.. this was a lot more people than i expected.
running into someone , i let go of sages hand on accident.
"oh- i'm sorry." i smiled , meeting eyes with miles.
"you're good.. hey , i was looking for you." he smiled.
i felt nervous , like i didn't know the right words to say. "i was with my friends."
i remembered sage , and looked beside him.
"speaking of.. she's waiting for me."he turned to look at sage , and as he did she waved me off , giving me a smile and a thumbs up before walking to the couch.
"never mind.." i spoke , making him laugh and turn back to me.
"hey.. wanna go talk somewhere else? it's loud right here." he asked me , turning to look in the direction of the stairs.
