that next morning i woke up, met with ashtray still sleeping and the house oddly quiet. and i was still in ashtrays room.i took a deep breath, slowly standing up from his bed and inching my way to the little window he had, so i could see if fezco was in the living room.
and of course, he was.
i sighed, not knowing what excuse i could say as to why i'm coming out of his room.. at whatever time it was.
i knew if he pressured me, i would crack and tell him everything. so i was nervous, coming up with excuses and anything i could say in my head, glancing back to see if ashtray had woken up yet. but he was still laying there, sound asleep.
suddenly a thought came to my head, making me instantly freeze. what if he came in here earlier and saw us sleeping? fuck.
you know, maybe i should just go for it. worst comes to worst, i'll blame ashtray.
i took another deep breath, putting my hand on the door handle only to jump back a couple seconds later. "what are you doing?"
"holy- ashtray!" i sighed in relief, turning to see him slightly sat up looking at me.
for a second i lost my train of thought, his eyes are really pretty.
"uh.. fez is in the living room." i rocked back and forth on my feet, pointing to the door.
a smirk slowly appeared on his face, making me roll my eyes. "just go?"
"yeah and blame it on you? okay." i shrugged, opening the door.
"malani!" i heard from behind me, making fez turn around as i inched my way towards the couch. oh that little bitch.
"hey fez.." i nervously smiled, trying to quickly walk past him.
"hey- mal?" he raised an eyebrow, making me instantly get more nervous than i already was.
"you sleep in ash's room or something?"oh no. no. fuck. what do i say? i need to hurry up and talk. okay. blame it on ashtray.
"umm.. yeah, he was taking to me and you know.. i fell asleep." that's not exactly a lie.
he slowly nodded, turning around as ashtray walked in the room. and as soon as he was next to me, i walked to my room and closed the door behind me.
———————————-
fezco, ashtray and i was at the store. it wasn't as awkward now, although fezco seemed skeptical of everything. so i've been sitting with fezco the whole time.
i tapped my nails on the counter, looking at the cars go by outside, until three, loud familiar voices made me raise my head.
"mal!" hazel smiled, pulling me into a hug.
