Chapter 8

We went back downstairs hand in hand smiling. Yes, I gave my boss a chance and I hope and pray I do not regret it. We walked back into the kitchen to see Crystal helping her mommy cook.

" Aww that's so cute " I smile.

" She loves helping me cook " Anesthesia smiles kissing the top of Crys's head.

" I wan be a goo cook lie my mommy " Crys says.

" I bet you'll be a wonderful cook " I say.

" Imma go hang with Eugene " Daniel says.

" Okay " I reply. He kisses my cheek and walks out.

" Are you guys good now?" Anesthesia asks.

" Yea, we are fine " I say. " We talked about it "

" Good, I'm kinda surprised he talked about it with you " She says.

" Mhm me too " I say. Thirty five minutes later dinner is ready and being served.

" This looks amazing babe " Eugene says kissing his wife.

" I wouldn't have been able to have done it without Toyin " She says smiling at me. I smile back and sit down. We all sat at the huge dinning table and talked.

" There is this amazing resort me and Eugene found that we really want to go but we need another couple....it's a couple's retreat and you guys should really come "Anesthesia says.

" When is it?" Daniel ask.

" Next week, only for a week. We leave Sunday night thou " She says.

" I don't know. Who's gonna handle the business while I'm gone?" Daniel asks.

" Don't you have like someone you trust who can take care of it?" Eugene asks.

" There's Twain, but I don't know if I can like leave him to handle the business alone for a week. That's a big responsibility " He says.

" Twain can definitely handle it " I say.

" I don't know " He says unsure.

" Oh come on bubba, it's gonna be so much fun " Anesthesia says. He doesn't say anything for a while but then he sighs and finally says.

" Okay okay,we'll go "

" Yes!! I promise you won't regret going " She smiles.

" I come too, wight?" Crys asks.

" * laughs * Oh bunny, I'm sorry but no. It's for couples only, your gonna stay with grandma " Her mom says.

" * pouts * but I wan go wif you " She pouts.

" I'm sorry sweetie but you can't...maybe some other time " Her mom replies. She starts kicking her feet and whining.

"Crystal stop it right now " Her mom demands. She ignores her and continues whining and kicking. Daniel puts his fork down and his napkin, he then stands up and picks her up.

"Don't whine Munchie, let's go have a quick chat " He says throwing her in the air. She instantly stops whining and giggles. She then wraps her chubby little arms around his neck. He smiles and they walk out the dinning room.

" I honestly don't know how he does that. One minute she'll be crying and whining but as soon as she sees Daniel she stops " Anesthesia says shaking her head.

" She loves him, that's her second dad " Eugene says. " He has that magic "

She rolls her eyes and continues eating her food. Five minutes later they walk back in smiling and giggling. He puts her back in her high chair and sits back down.
