Chapter 10

Beth has been eyeing me down all night and it's really irritating me. I understand the fact that she wants me to tell Rickey but I'm simply not ready yet.

" So mom, wat did you want to talk about?" I asked trying my best to ignore Beth's stare.

" ...Well I've been meaning to tell you this for a while but I didn't know how to say it , but since you're here now I might as well come out with it.... I'm pregnant " She smiles.

" Wait, wat?" I ask.

" I'm pregnant " She says.

" Wow really? Congrats mama " Rickey say.

" You're having a baby? Really? Oh my " I say shocked.

" Yea, I am. I'm two months, I wanted to-

" Two months?! You're kidding right? Your two months pregnant and you didn't think about telling me?" I ask a bit upset.

" I wanted to tell you earlier b-but I was afraid of how you'll take it " She says looking down. I sigh and stand up.

" It's fine mother, but it would have been nice if you told me earlier " I say hugging her.

" So do you know wat your having? " I ask.

" Not yet, but we are going to find out soon...real soon " She smiles. This is amazing, I am going to have a younger brother or sister finally. I've been an only child for the longest and I hate it so much. I have no siblings to fight with or argue or like even talk too but now I might finally have one. Yay!! I'm so freaking happy.

After dinner, me and Rickey say bye to everyone and walk out the house. We head towards the car and he unlocks the door. I was just about to open the door when Beth called me. I rolled my eyes and sighed. I turn towards her and walk her way.

" Wats up Beth?" I ask.

" You know exactly wats up Toyin. You need to tell Rickey, he deserves-

" I know!! I know he deserves to know, I know I have to tell him-

" You obviously don't know, cause if you did you would've told him by now. Your only hurting yourself by letting this go on Toyin " She interrupts

" Don't you understand that I'm just not ready? Rickey is my best friend, he has been there for me since day one and I love him for that. He's a carefree outgoing guy, that everybody loves-

" I know that " She says.

" And for me to just come out and say " oh just so you know, your boyfriend is raping me every chance he gets " I don't know, I feel like that'll just ruin everything " I say.

" Toyin, I understand. You need to tell him thou " She says.

" I will, I will... just not now " I say looking down.

" Toyin-

" I'm going home, I'll talk to you later " I say then walk away

Once we got back home, I went into my room and shut the door. I then took off my shoes. I started taking off my clothes but then Rickey walked in.

" Oh, my bad " He says about to walk back out.

" No, it's fine. You can I stay, I'll change in the bathroom " I say getting up.

" Aight, " He walks back in and sits on my bed. I walk into the bathroom and closed the door just a little.

" So wassup " I say.

" I wanted to ask you bout what you and Beth were talking bout " He says. Oh God.

" Wat do you mean?" I ask.

" Wat were you guys talking bout?" He asks.

" Nothing, wat makes you think we were talking bout something " I say trying to unzip my dress.

" Really? So you guys weren't talking bout anything when she called you over " He says in disbelief.

" Ugh yea " I say once again trying to get the zipper down. I sigh in frustration and walk out the bathroom.

" Can you help me with this? It wont come down " I whine. He rolls his eyes then gets up and walks over to me. He turns me around then he tries to unzip the dress

" Well damn, wat did you do? " He asks struggling with the zip.

" I don't know " I pout.

" Probably gained weight from all that food you ate " He snickered.

" I did not " I say pushing him back. He laughs and says.

" Just kidding " He then continues to try and unzip my dress. Like freaking five hours later he finally got it down. Maybe I did gain weight, ughhh.

"  *sighs heavily * Finally " He says pushing a bit. " fat ass "

" I'm not fat, shrimp face " I say turning around and pushing him back.

" Yea you are dick breath " He says pushing me back.

" You're so annoying, you bastard " I say taking my slippers from the floor and hitting him with it.

" You know what? I'm not even going to mess with you no more " He says pushing my head back and running out my room slamming the door. He is so fucking annoying. I take my dress off and put it in the laundry bin then I walked into the bathroom. I took off my undergarments and got into the shower. 20 minutes minutes later, I was out and drying my hair. Once my hair was dried, I put my pajamas on and walked out my room. I found Rickey sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and watching Being Mary Jane. I decided to join him. I lay flat on the couch and put my feet on his lap.

  I must have fell asleep on the couch because I felt a pair of muscular arms lift me up. I snuggled up in his arms has he carried me to my room. I felt him kick the door open then he walked into the room and laid me on my bed. He tucked me in and kissed my forehead.

" Night sweetheart " He says then he walks out the room and closed the door.

I walked into mall arm in arm with Daniel. He wanted to take me shopping, even though I told him I didn't want to, but he insisted on it. So here we are in the mall walking around and looking for places to shop. We walked into Victoria's Secret cause I wanted to get some new undergarments. Once I got what I wanted we walked out.

" I gotta use the restroom...I'll be right back " Daniel says.

" Okay, I'll be in Macy's" I say. He kisses my cheek then let's go of my arm and walks away. I walk towards Macy's. I walked inside and went straight to the shoes. I was to busy looking at the shoes that I didn't notice someone standing behind.

" Hey beautiful " I hear that awful voice say. I quickly stand up and turn around.

" What are you doing here?" I ask folding my arms.

" It's the mall sweetheart, is it weird that I'm in here shopping?" He asks raising a bag up. I roll my eyes.

" Yea, you don't look like one to be in the mall  " I say.

" I know, looks can be deceiving " He smirks. Damn right they can.

" You look nice today " He says looking me up and down while biting his lip. I fold my arms and back up a bit.

" Hey chill mama, I won't bite " He says pulling me back by my waist.

" Let go  " I say trying to get out of his grip.

" Calm down princess " He says leaning.

" Let the woman go brotha " I hear Daniel say. Oh shit.
