Chapter 24

The next morning I woke up with a massive headache and tear stains on my face. I got out of bed and did my daily routine. Once I was done I grabbed my purse and my phone and walked out my room. I walked into the kitchen and rolled my eyes when I saw Rickey also in it. I put my purse down and walked over to the refrigerator, completely ignoring him. I felt his eyes on me the whole time, but I wasn't going to say anything to him. I grabbed the orange juice and a hot pocket from the freezer. I shut the door to the fridge then put the hot pocket in the microwave. I got a glass and poured myself so juice. I returned the juice in the fridge and waited for my hot pockets.

" * clears throat * Good morning" He says. I side eye him then scoff and focus on the microwave. "...okay, I know your really angry at me a-and I don't blame you. But I really am sorry for what I put you through and for the lies I told you. It was really wrong of me to do that you...I really never meant to hurt. And I was going to tell you earlier...b-but I was afraid I'll lose you, "

BEEP BEEP BEEP!

I opened the microwave and grabbed my hot pocket. I grabbed my juice and walked over to the chair and sat down. I brought out my phone and texted Daniel telling him to come pick me up. I put my phone face down then started eating my food.

" You can't ignore me forever" He sighs rubbing his face. I raised my eyebrow at him. Is that a challenge? " Come on Toyin,I said I was sorry! "

"...Sorry doesn't cut it, Rickey! " I yell. " You hurt me really badly and I'm never going to get over it! "

He walks over to and sits next me gently grabbing my hand.

" I know T...but I don't know what else to say or do to prove to you that I'm really really sorry " He says.

" There is nothing you can say or do. I really wish you could've just been honest " I say snatching my hand away and getting up. I put my cup in the sink then grabbed my purse and phone. I walked out the kitchen and towards the door.

" Toyin please " He begs. I open the door and walk out making sure to slam it! I held in the tears that were about to come pouring out and walked over to the elevator. I pressed the down button and waited for the doors to open. When they did open I stepped in and pressed the lobby floor. Once I reached the lobby, I said hello to Eric and sat on one of the lounge chairs.

" Hello Miss. Johnson" He smiles.

" How many times do I have to tell you to just call me Toyin " I giggle.

" It sounds weird to me " He shrugs.

" But it makes me feel old and I'm pretty sure you are older than me " I retort.

" How old are you?" He questions folding his arms.

" 24 " I say.

" I'm only two years older  " He says.

" Alright then" I says.

" So who are you waiting for?" He asks.

" I'm waiting for Daniel " I say. " He wants to take me out "

" Oh, so you guys are a thing?" He asks raising an eyebrow.

" Yea " I smile.

" Oh " He frowns. The front door opens and in walks my handsome boyfriend.

" Hey baby! " I beam getting up and embracing him in a tight hug.

" Hey babe " He chuckles kissing my cheek.

" I missed you " I whisper.

" I could've came yesterday" He says.

" I know, I...there was something going on yesterday " I shrug.
