After Luther came and spoke to me and Five in the van, I left with Luther after Five said that I should be there to protect mom.
Arriving back at the house, I see Klaus sitting on a couch with his stolen snacks around him, Diego off to the side of the TV closest to Klaus, Allison standing in front of the TV, Luther on the opposite side of the TV nearest the door, and Vanya stood by a pillar near the door.
"I mean, do you really think mom would hurt dad?" asks Vanya, looking towards me to see my reaction of the accusation.
"You haven't been home in a long time Vanya." says Luther.
"Oh, and you have?" I question.
"Maybe you don't know Grace anymore." says Luther, ignoring my comment.
"If he was poisoned, it would have shown up in the coroner's report." says Diego coldly, mad that their accusing mom over something she didn't do.
"Well, I don't need a report to tell me what I can see with my own eyes." says Luther, pointing to the TV as if that's all the evidence needed.
"Maybe all that low gravity in space messed with your vision." says Diego, walking closer to the TV. He clicks a button to rewind the tape to when mom stands up. "Look closer. Dad has his monocle. Mom stands up. Monocle's gone."
"Oh, yeah." says Klaus laughing, just now tuning back into the conversation.
"She wasn't poisoning him." says Diego, vouching for mom. "She was... taking it. To clean it."
"Then where is it?" questions Luther. "No, I've searched the house, including her things. She doesn't have it."
"You searched our mother, really Luther?" I question.
"She doesn't have it." says Luther, rolling his eyes at what I said.
"That's because I took it from her." admits Diego. "After the funeral."
"You've had the monocle this whole time." questions Luther angrily.
"What the hell Diego." says Allison pissed.
"Give it to me." says Luther, holding his hand out for the monocle.
"I threw it away." Diego says calmly.
"You what?" scoffs Luther.
"Look, I knew that if you found it on mom, you'd lose your shit." says Diego, motioning towards Luther's behavior. "Just like you're doing right now."
"Diego, you son of a bitch." Luther steps towards Diego.
"Hey. No. Calm down." says Vanya trying to calm down the situation.
"Look, I know that dad wasn't exactly an open book." says Vanya, all of them glancing at me knowing I was the closest with him. "But I do remember one thing he told me."
