"No, no, no, no." yells Vanya, as she wakes up, back in the room that plagues her nightmares. She runs to the window to see Luther, Diego, and Klaus talking but no sound coming through. "Guys! No, let me..."
"You locked up our sister because you think she has powers." Diego states, more then questions as he watched his quiet sister try and fail to escape the sound proof room.
"No, I know she does. Pogo told me." Luther states, glad to know something his siblings don't. Aside from Allison, who told him first and Marah, who has only told Five. "He's always know, and so did dad."
"Why would they hide this from us?" questions Diego, wondering how none of them could have known. "I mean, am I the only one that didn't know this place existed?"
"He hid so much from us..." mutters Klaus, looking at Vanya sadly, knowing how she feels, being locked up against your will with no way out.
"He hid it because he was afraid..." Luther states, taking back his Number One role. "Of her."
"Oh, that's ridiculous." exclaims Diego.
"Is it?" questions Luther, raising one of his brows. "Dad's lied about everything else, why is this so far-fetched?"
"If you're right, then maybe she's the one who killed Peabody." comments Diego, starting to believe what his Number One is saying.
"And cut Allison's throat." states Luther.
"Woah, no. Lets..." Klaus comments, not believing that their shy sister could do this. "I ju... Sorry, just, let's go back, all right? This is Vanya we're talking about. Our sister. The one who always cried when we stepped on ants as kids."
"Yeah, I know. I know it's difficult to accept..." starts Luther.
"It's not difficult to accept, it's impossible to accept." Klaus cries out.
"No, he's right." Diego says, agreeing with Klaus. All three share the same expression as if none could believe that Diego would ever agree with what his junky brother said. "Look, we can't keep her locked up without any proof."
"Wh...What more proof do you need?" questions Luther, thinking that the secrets of their father that were confirmed by Pogo was enough.
"Why don't we just open the door and ask her?" suggests Klaus, knowing how claustrophobic his sister is getting.
"No. She's not goin' anywhere." states Luther, finality in his voice and his words, suggesting that that's the end of the conversation.
"No, even if you're right, she needs our help, and we can't do that if she's locked in a cage." says Diego, getting fed up with Luther's whole 'I'm Number One, so you need to listen to me' act. Wishing Marah was here to shut him up with the power play.
"Yeah, and for all we know, she might be struggling with this new power." Klaus says quietly, sounding like he's talking from experience. "I mean, it must be scary. Terrifying, really, to discover that you can do something that you never thought you could do."
"Look, if what Pogo told me is even half true, then she is not just a danger to us." Luther says calmly.
All three boys lift their heads away from their struggling sister at the sound of soft footsteps coming towards them. They turn to see Allison, with a bandage around her neck and a notepad and marker in her left hand as her right holds her up against the wall. Vanya sees the state in which one of her sisters are in, and starts to cry and struggle more.
Luther sighs, being the first to speak. "Allison, what are you doing down here? you should be in bed."
Allison writes down on her notepad and turns it towards her brothers. 'Let Her Go'
"I can't do that. She hurt you." sighs Luther, knowing that he needs her gone before he gives into her.
Allison writes again, showing it to her brothers, but primarily to Luther. 'Me and Marah's fault'
"I'm sorry, but she's staying put." says Luther, slowly losing his control of the Vanya situation. "Just until we know what we're dealing with."
Allison walks up to the door, and goes to open it, only to be stopped by Luther. Luther doesn't look down at her as Allison tries to get around him. Pushing him in the chest when he doesn't let her pass.
"She stays put." Luther finalizes, grabbing on to Allison as she starts to fall due to her blood loss. "Come on. Come on, you need to rest."
Allison rips her arm from Luther's grasp as she goes to walk away, looking back to see a panicked Vanya still in the sound proof room.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" sobs Vanya, as she bangs on the door, just wanting to be let out to explain.
"Come on. Let's go." Luther says, following behind Allison and not turning back around to his panicking sister.
"No! No! No! No!" sobs Vanya, watching all of her siblings walk away without helping her. "I'm sorry!"
As Marah walks to the french bakery down the street, Luther tries to get Allison to talk to him, Diego looks for their mom, Klaus and Ben attempt to touch once again, and Five sleeps peacefully believing his girlfriend is still next to him.
"They're still afraid of us." says a young teenage Vanya. "Even after all these years. Afraid of our power."
"You're not real." comments Vanya, looking at the young reflection in the glass.
"We killed Leonard." Young Vanya continues, ignoring what Older Vanya said.
"Because he lied to us." mutters Vanya.
"Not about everything." convinces young Vanya.
"What are you talking about?" asks Vanya, not even questioning her sanity of speaking to her younger self.
"You know." says young Vanya. "You've always known. Our brothers and sisters, they're just like Dad, driven to keep us down, a muted voice, isolated from the group, never in the limelight, never the center of attention. Unlike Marah. It will never end. Not until we act."
"But they're our family." comments Vanya, trying to reason with her younger self.
"They fear you now. They're gonna keep you in here forever." states young Vanya.
"No." mumbles Vanya.
"Do you remember what that was like?" reminds young Vanya. "Staring at these grey walls, hour after hour, day after day while they played together? Do you want to live like this for the rest of our lives?"
"No, no." sobs Vanya. Vanya gasps for air, as the claustrophobia catches up with her. "I can't breathe in here. I can't breathe in here."
"Then do something about it." states young Vanya coldly. "Embrace who we are."
"I can't..." stutters Vanya.
"Who we've been all along." commands young Vanya.
Vanya closes her eyes as her heart continues to beat. It beats faster and faster, Vanya using this to be able to use the sound to break free. A whistling can be heard inside the small cage as Vanya turns the sound energy from her heart beat into energy to burst down the door. As the door falls, it shakes the academy, leaving a shocked Luther, Allison, Diego, Klaus, ghost Ben, Pogo, and a now fully awake Five who has no idea where his girlfriend is.
Vanya is now glowing as she stands in the broken cage, with her eyes fully white with just her pupils showing.
