Diego, Klaus and Ben stand outside the academy after their close encounter with death.
"You okay? You okay?" asks Klaus, confused on how Ben pulled Diego out of the wreckage.
"Hey, you just saved my life, man." smiles Diego, proud of his junky brother.
"Okay. Great." Klaus says, while hugging Diego. Ben looks at Klaus with betrayal in his eyes.
"Shit! Mom. Mom!" yells Klaus, looking around only to spot her in a window still in the building waving goodbye to them. "Mom! Get out of there now."
"Mom, got out of there. Mom!" yells Diego, not being able to cope with the idea of losing his mother, the woman who loved him, the woman who laughed with him, who helped him with his stutter, the woman who he looked up to since he was a young boy. "I'm coming after you!"
"No, Diego!" yells Klaus, grabbing his brother back into him, not willing to lose any more family and not willing to have to speak with their ghost for the rest of his life.
"No!" yells Diego, struggling against Klaus.
"Diego!" yells Klaus, struggling to hold his brother back.
"Please, Mom!" yells Diego.
"Get back!" yells Klaus.
"Mom!" yells Diego, looking at the falling figure of his mother.
"Mom!"
"Mom!"
"Klaus, come here. Help me search." says Diego on the verge of tears, as he sorts through the ruble in hopes of finding his mother still alive.
"Diego." Klaus says sadly. "Just stop it. Stop."
"No, what...what are you..." stutters Diego, as he tries to look for her again. "Let me go. What are you doing?"
"Stop. Stop." whispers Klaus, trying to be strong for his brother. "She's gone. She's...She's gone, okay? She's..."
"What do you wanna do?" asks Diego, sitting down. "You wanna...wanna...walk away from this?"
"No." sighs Klaus.
"What about Pogo?" asks Diego sadly.
"Just..." Klaus goes to answer only to be cut off by Luther, who's helping Allison through the ruble. "He didn't make it."
"What?" questions Diego.
"Vanya killed him." says Luther coldly.
"But Vanya wouldn't..." whispers Klaus, not wanting to believe his sweet sister would do this.
"No. I saw it." states Luther, looking around at their broken home, figuratively and literally. "Just before we got out."
