"The comfort and warmth that you emit, is irreplaceable. I would never trade you for anybody else, and I hope you know that. Nobody could ever replace you because you are my big brother and I am your little sister"

"Sky?" a soft voice questioned, and I rolled over, having already been awake due to the excitement of the day. I had always been told to stay in bed until it was 6am, and then I could get up and start waking our siblings. Or, at least they said I couldn't open any presents until they were all awake, so I took it upon myself to wake them up.

And my partner in crime, was Luke. He was standing at my door, beckoning for me to come with him. I was out of that bed quicker than anything, not disturbing Summer. We always woke her last, because in her words, "she needed her beaty sleep". She was only 12 and was already more concerned with the amount of boys that she could get at school to carry her books than the actual real friends that she had.

We were more distant than we had ever been. She slammed our bedroom door in my face more times than she would speak a single word to me in a day. Sometimes, she would lock me out to the point where I had to sleep in my school clothes that night, and wait to have a shower and get changed the next morning, meaning I ended up making us a late because Summer never wanted to be woken.

I always had to be on her good side, no matter what. I had to please her. Everyone took Summer's side, no matter what. The only people that didn't, was Noah, Luke and Shane. Shane always let me sleep in his bed, with him and Riley. Riley wasn't home as much anymore though, as he was constantly working, but that didn't mean he didn't love us.

He had finished college, and was back in town more. He was back being the head of the house. So, Luke and I crept into their room, ready to awake our unsuspecting brothers. I crept over to Shane's bed, not really wanting to deal with Riley's morning mood, as he had been up late last night. He was starting to change, and I wasn't here for it. I was understanding the moods of the people around me.

I was understanding that nobody wanted much to do with a 6 year old in the household, when the eldest one was 22 years old. Talk about age gaps. I climbed up on the bed, albeit struggling due to the height difference from my bed, as Luke did it with ease, standing on top of Riley's, counting down with his fingers as he had a finger to his mouth, as if I would make much noise.

I was the quietest out of all of us, as someone would grumble about me talking about something as simple as what I did in school that day. Luke never grumbled about it, he just sat with me and we talked about it. We usually sat on our swing out the back, and talked all day together if they let us. Luke was the only person that could never shut me up.
