FORGET THE DROID
Tears had begun to fall down Ceren's face. She mourned for the lives lost. She mourned for the first she once knew. Everything that she had been holding in had finally spilled out. Ceren didn't want to face Kylo Ren. She had wanted to help the Resistance as best she can without getting too involved after the death of Lor San Tekka and the villagers. But now...the destruction of the Hosnian system had awaken a fire in her. She knew she had to face Kylo Ren. She so desperately wished she could persuade him to come back to her and leave Kylo Ren and return as Ben Solo, the boy she once knew and loved. But if it came down to it, she would kill him if she had too. Ceren hoped that it would not come down to it but she needed to stop him in any way that she could.
Ceren wiped her face quickly and willed for the tears to stop flowing down her face. She had to find Rey. If they could see the destruction from the Planet they were on, who knew where the First Order was at and who knew if the First Order had been tipped off to where there location was at.
Ceren pushes herself to her feet and slightly winces in pain. She knew she needed to rest her leg but she couldn't, not until she knew Rey was safe. Until everyone that she went to the planet with was safe. Ceren runs into the forest where Rey had disappeared into.
"Rey!" Ceren called for the girl. Just as she was about to call for the girl again. She begins to hear explosions and blasts coming from the direction of the castle. Ceren freezes...she didn't think they would be attacked this soon after the destruction of the Hosnian system. She had a feeling that something like this was going to happen...it was bound to happen. But she thought she had more time to find Rey.
Just as if someone was listening to her thoughts, Rey runs right into Ceren. Ceren trips and falls down with a grunt.
"C-Ceren? I'm so sorry!" Rey exclaims and helps Ceren to her feet.
"Don't worry about it, I was actually out here looking for you...we have to go," Ceren tells Rey, "We need to go help the people." BB-8 beeps in agreement and Ceren looks surprised to see the BB unit. "BB-8, you have to stay out of trouble and stay hidden...we can't let them get ahold of you," Ceren says looking at the droid. BB-8 beeps in defiance and Ceren gives him a pointed look.
"Ceren is right, BB-8, you have to stay hidden...you're too important," Rey says agreeing with the Jedi. More explosions continue on, and they began to get louder and louder. Ceren rushes towards the tree line and Rey follows quickly behind her. It was a disaster. Ceren's heart broke. She felt guilty for these people becoming involved in something that they never should have been involved in. Rey looks to the sky in shock. TIE fighters were swooping low and shooting at whatever targets they saw. Other TIE fighters and some transporters land on the planet and stormtroopers began to storm the area.
Ceren pulls out her lightsabers and prepares to fight...to fight for the people of Takodana...to fight for the fallen Republic...to fight for the Resistance. Rey gawks at her like she had done back on Jakku still completely mesmerized by the Jedi in front of her.
