we're home for a few hours, and are sat in the living room when yeonjun's phone starts ringing. it's soobin.

"hey." yeonjun says.

"hey man, wanna go to the roof?" i just about hear soobin's voice say through the phone.

yeonjun sits straight. "yeah." he says. "yeah, we'll leave in a minute."

"cool, see you."

"bye." yeonjun turns to me. "i need to warn you." he says. "my friends can be a bit...much."

i raise my eyebrows slightly with a playful smile. "probably to compensate for your lack of-"

"don't get cheeky with me." he says before i can even finish my sentence which makes me laugh. "feet up." he taps my legs which are lying across his lap.

i lift them up and he stands straight before he grabs onto my arms and yanks me off of the sofa. not long after, we're buzzed into soobin's sister's apartment building and we head up to the roof.

"here they are." taehyun sits up slightly from his deck chair before taking a sip of his coke.

liv is sat to his right, and soobin is on the other side. kai is stood, leant against the wall with a coke in his hand. i'm relieved to see that elena is absent.

i smile as we receive a chorus of greeting from them all.

"hey." yeonjun says.

"aw, you didn't bring the guitar." kai complains. "we wanted a private concert from the famous duet." he laughs.

i glance awkwardly at yeonjun.

"uh...the guitar broke." he says.

"how?" taehyun asks hesitantly.

"it got into the hands of the same dick who fucked my face up." yeonjun says with a weak laugh, trying not to kill the mood.

"oh." taehyun says. "sorry-"

"nah, it's cool." yeonjun shrugs it off. "pass me a coke, will you?" he says, and liv takes a coke bottle from its multipack, tossing it towards him. "thanks."

"you want one, chaewon?" she asks me.

"no, i'm good thank you." i smile to her. i'm just thinking about how much pollution coca cola creates as a business, so i'd feel too guilty to have any.

"chaewon. that's such a sweet name." she says, while Yeonjun and i both sit down on the deck chairs.

"thanks." i smile to her with a slight laugh.

"you want to talk about sweet names?" kai says. "urban dictionary says i'm handsome and perfect."

soobin laughs. "far from it."

"sure let's trust everything urban dictionary says." taehyun adds on sarcastically.

"i'm curious what urban dictionary says about me now." liv giggles to herself, pulling out her phone. "oh here we go." she says, clearing her throat to prepare herself for a dramatic monologue. "the funniest person you know with a bomb ass personality." she says.

kai scoffs. "well it doesn't say you're perfect."

"strong ass woman." she says, listing key traits. "will become your favourite person instantly."

"nah, you took a while to grow on me." soobin says. "like a nasty zit."

she gasps. "you bitch." she whacks his leg, and he retreats, laughing to himself with his hands in surrender going "i'm kidding! i'm kidding!"
