"Officer Eaton? Annabelle can you hear me?"
"Uhh, what? Yeah, yeah I can"
"Are you hurt?"
"Maybe, why?"
"Good enough, I have a new mission for you."
The girl, still lying at the foot of the volcano, sighed counting to ten in her mind before saying anything else. They really had no desire or interest in giving her a break, at any given moment or occasion. Annabelle got up from the ground, cleaning her skimpy clothing of the ash from the eruption, grabbed her scattered gear and walked to the nearest truck she could see, the girl sat on the co-pilot's seat and closed the door.
"To London, Redbridge please"

The day started like any other for the last five seasons, Cody got out of bed as usual, put on his clothes for the day, had a bowl of cereal for breakfast and tried to leave his house as soon as he finished eating and cleaning his plate.
"Where to so rushed young man? Have you forgotten about your chores?" His mom asked, holding the collar of his shirt and bringing him to her side.
"I'm sorry mom, but I have to go I'll be late for school." He replied in his bright yet raspy voice.
"It's barely seven past half, you sure have time to at least take the trash out" She insisted, handing him the black plastic bag and finally letting him out. Cody sighted rolling his eyes and walked to the dumpster a block from his house, threw the trash and got on his skateboard, heading to school.
"Really? That... Egghead?" The girl asked in a contemptuous tone.
"Yes that egghead Anna." He replied with a groan.
"Hey Cody"
"Hey Ryan" He greeted with a smile while entering the institute. Classes went on normally and as usual, while Cody tried to talk to Meredith Willbur, the girl envied by all the others. Blonde, green eyes and a smile that made the boys melt at her feet, and although he had always tried to get to her with all the resources he had, he was not able to look her in the eye without having his cheeks turn red.
Cody could think he was a loser, like many others, but the one thing that he was self-aware of, was his brain his innate talent for mathematics, science and physics, as well as his flexibility in gym class were noticed from the young age of fourteen, pushing him as far as to take pre-university courses. A certain special group of people also noticed this talents, and with them, his life changed.
The entire story includes a family who had a desire to educate their little girl within this group of people, but the girl was neither tall enough nor old enough to be called into the program. So the mother of that little girl spoke with the director of the program, being one of her friends the from high school where they taught together. She managed to convince her friend to start a new program with younger children, under ten years of age young, a program in which her daughter rationally required sufficient and even extraordinary skills to enter, but that was certainly no problem.
"How was he on the evaluation month?" She looked at her mentor with bored eyes, making it more than clear that she didn't wanted to be there.
"Listen I know that you don't like him, but he's pretty good. You'll have to accept that sooner or later." That was Ronald, or Ronny as she called him. Tall, muscular, brown hair, smile with wrinkles and a padlock-shaped beard.
"How much?" She reformulated her question.
"Almost one hundred and sixty-five IQ, and more than seventy points per event on the PT's" He stated, looking at her with a cocky smile.
"Fine I'll admit it, he's good. Happy?" She mumbled in a mocking tone.
Leaving his school, Cody headed towards the skating rink, put on the headpiece he carried in his backpack and put his weight forward, falling by gravity down the ramp. From the straight line the skateboard was on, Cody twisted his body a bit to make the piece of wood turn as well, turning left on the way up of the ramp. Anna witnessed with an eyebrow being raised in surprise, while going up again he stuck the two front wheels of the skate on the ramp, taking a look around he seemed to find something fun, since he smiled, making the girl think to her inner-self: He's a child, as he got down again.
"Seems like he does this for some kind of... Amusement." Ronald whispered, not understanding why he would put himself through the frightening experience of almost death, as he saw it.
"What do you do for amusement, Ronny?" She asked laughing in silence.
"I do work, that's what I do. When you're my age you don't amuse yourself, you work" He spat, jokingly elbowing her.
"Okay, when do we start officially?" She gave in, looking through the screen at the boy one more time. Oh what a project would he be.
"Tomorrow"
