Natsu felt his consciousness slowly return. All he could remember was a bright light. He just laid there for some amount of time, long or short he didn't know, just trying to open his eyes. That was until he felt something poke his cheek. It felt familiar, but he didn't know quite what it was.
"Natsu?" It's voice sounded confused, yet...familiar. He couldn't quite match the voice with a face, his mind was still fuzzy. Wanting to discover who this achingly familiar voice belonged to, he attempted to open his eyes once more. The harder he tried to open his eyes, the more memories poured in. Then, all of a sudden, hundreds of memories flooded into his brain at once as his eyes shot open. He was greeted by a forest and spotted something beside him. Looking at the mysterious creature, his eyes filled with tears. Not even trying to hold them back, he let them fall freely down his face.
"N-Natsu, what's wrong with you? What happened? Wait! Why are you so young?!" Natsu was to happy to be distracted by his friend's questions and quickly leapt onto the unsuspecting figure.
"You're really here...your really here..." He mumbled as his friend was still in complete confusion. "I can't believe it really worked..."
"What are you talking about? And seriously, why are you suddenly a young teen, the last time I saw you you were 28!?" The figure spoke.
Suddenly Natsu remembered something.
"Wait, you still remember the war?" Natsu was shocked, but he was even more shocked when his friend nodded. "Weird, I thought I was the only one who was suppose to remember?" He asked to no one in particular.
Then, he remembered something Makarov had told him a long time ago...
"....Magic is a strange thing, it can sense your emotions and changes itself to match them. This is why when you are angry, your magic is much stronger, and when you're depressed, your magic grows weaker..."
His magic must have sensed his loneliness and given him a friend to help him cope with the pain.
A soft smile started to form on his face as he mentally thanked his magic for lessening the sadness in his heart. His friend still sat there, completely dumbfounded.
"Natsu, what's going on...and why are you smiling like that?" Then Natsu told his friend all about how he, along with their other friends, died and that Master had given him a spell to reverse time so that he could change the future. Strangely enough, Natsu's friend believed him, but then again, they had been partners for a long time.
After their tear filled talk, they hugged each other tightly once again.
"I'm just so happy to see you again, Happy." Natsu whispered as a single tear slowly made its way down his cheek.
Hey guys I'm back! I'm so sorry for not updating this and my other stories in such a long time, I've just been busy. I haven't gotten any really good ideas (or how to transition into those ideas) yet. I've also been busy with all county choir, but that ended to day so yay, now I'm free! Lol. But anyways I hoped you enjoyed.
And if you were wondering, at first I wasn't going to have Happy remember but then I was like..."well if I was in the same situation as Natsu, I would want a friend to help me." So I put in Happy, YAY!! Well anyways, bye-bye!
