Back in Time

Chapter 9

"Hey, ...er...um Luce." Natsu waved awkwardly at said girl.

Two weeks passed since Gildarts and Lucy came back from their mission, and he hadn't mustered up enough courage to talk to her until now.

"Luce?" She questioned, confused.

"It's my nickname for you." He smiled, soon turning into a full blown grin. She blushed, it was cute, she only had one other nickname and that was bunny-girl, she didn't like it that much either. You wear a bunny suit one time, she thought, ONE TIME!!

"Uh, thanks." She smiled shyly.

"Well, um...do you wanna go on a mission with me and Happy sometime?"

"Uh," she was confused, she was rarely asked to do quests with anyone, "sure." She smiled, seeing the hopefulness in his eyes.

With that answer, his childish grin widened, something Lucy thought wasn't even possible.

"Great! Meet me at the guild tomorrow at 9!" After that, he quickly ran off before she could decline. Yes! Team Natsu here we come!!

Meanwhile, Lucy just stood there, completely dumbfounded...what am I getting myself into? She thought, already starting to regret her decision, he's the most destructive member of the guild for Pete's sake!!

When Natsu reached his house, he was surprised to see Master Makarov there.

"Hello my child, if you don't mind, I have something I would like to ask of you." He asked, being as polite as possible. He needed somebody to do this task for him, and if he didn't do it, Fairy Tail would be in a heap of trouble from the Magic Council.

"Sure, I guess. What's up?"

"You see, the Magic Council has asked me to send a few of my top mages to keep the streets of Crocus clear during a festival they're hosting this year, I was wondering if you could be one of those mages." He asked, hoping he would accept.

"Sure thing, gramps!" Natsu agreed almost instantly, he still thinks of Makarov as his own Grandpa or Dad, besides Igneel of course.

"That's great! Could you also inform Erza, Lucy, and Gray about this, oh, and it starts in a few days, you'll have to leave tomorrow in order to make it in time." The Master informed.

"Great!" Natsu spoke aloud, he actually hadn't thought of a mission for them to do, so this was perfect.

"Yeah, it's pretty simple and the reward is high, too. 30.000 jewels each, plus free tickets to the city's local waterpark." Makarov added, before Natsu could say anything else, Makarov left to get back to the guild.

"Yessssss!" Natsu thought out loud, this job was perfect, and had a good reward too. He bought it was the perfect opportunity to get Team Natsu back together.

Yes, I'm back!! I still might not be updating as quickly, because it's still SOL time. :(

But I updated anyways because lots of people were asking me to so here you go. I know it's not that long, but I'm getting into something at least. Let's see what will happen next?? Lol
