Back in Time

Chapter 7

It was about 7 in the morning when Happy and Lisanna rushed over to Natsu's house. Something exciting was going on, and she wanted to make sure he saw it.

Natsu awoke to loud, frantic knocks at his door and shouts of 'I'm coming in!'

Groaning, he started to get up as the white haired takeover mage burst in. "Natsu! Hurry up! You got to get to the guild! RIGHT NOW!" Natsu didn't question her, but instead quickly got dressed.

When they reached the guild hall, familiar alarms filled the air. Gildarts' Shift!

"They're approaching the city!" A random person shouted, they?

While the town started to shift, two figures stood outside the city lines. One was an older man with light auburn colored hair. The other was a cloaked figure, shorter than the other man. "Ya ready for our big entrance?" The older one excitedly spoke.

"You always like being grand, don't you?" The other sighed.

"Oh come on! You learned that spell while we were gone, it's gonna be a huge surprise!"

"Okay, fine..."

Back at the guild, they all noticed the city had finished moving. There was a long, wide path way with two figures at the end. Two?

The shorter of the two slowly raised her hand into the air, and the sky turned into a dark, starry night, it was beautiful, but it brought back a bad memory for Natsu...

Blood splattered everywhere, and a petite blunette was in the middle of it all. A sharp blade pierced her skin, right in her stomach. Suddenly, a flash of gold could be seen sprinting to catch her friend as she fell lifelessly to the ground. "LEVY!!" He could hear Lucy scream. Without warning, the sky turned pitch black, and stars started to pop up, illuminating the now night sky. The magic pressure was unbearable, and many of the weaker demons began to fall down, completely consumed in the concentrated energy. Tears fell down her face uncontrollably, and a shield of starlight surrounded the two, preventing enemies from reaching them.

It couldn't be her, it just couldn't. This was different, there was magic energy in the air, but it was definitely not as strong as the spell before.

As they began walking, the same figure formed glowing balls of energy in her hands, and the taller figure shot them up into the air and they exploded. Fireworks...

When the two neared the guild, people were cheering for their return. Natsu could tell the taller man was Gildarts, but had no idea who the shorter, cloaked figure was. That is, until a familiar scent drifted through the air. No way...

She couldn't be here right now, but he was proven wrong when people started calling out their names.

"Welcome back Lucy, you too Gildarts!" He could hear Mira shout from the bar.

"Lu-chan, your back!" Levy excitedly cheered.

"Oi Gildarts, old man, how've ya been?" Wakaba questioned.

When they came in, Gildarts immediately went to Master, and Lucy to Levy, who in turn, asked her to take her cloak off.

She complied and took it off, many of the guys gawked at her, which Natsu didn't appreciate. And some of the girls looked at 'certain parts' with envy.

"Lu-chan!" Levy whined, "Why do you get big ones! You used to be my size!" She complained, but for some reason, it was hard to imagine Lucy without her huge assets.

Suddenly, Gajeel burst into the hall. "Oi, what's with all the como-BUNNYGIRL!?" He shouted in disbelief. She turned to the familiar voice.

"Huh?" When she saw him, she froze. But quickly ran up to him and hugged him.

Gajeel quickly wrapped his arms around her, in a friendly hug.

Meanwhile, Natsu was trying to contain his anger, looking over to Levy, he saw she was also slightly upset. He figured she liked him, they were engaged in the future....

"Is it really you?" He was still in shock. He didn't expect her to come back so soon.

"Yup, Metal Head." She joked as she grinned.

What the hell is going on!? Was all Natsu could think.

OMG!! What's gonna happen.

So I wanted to make Natsu jealous and who other than one of his biggest rivals. (Also, I didn't want Lucy to be decapitated by Juvia, so Gray was out of the question) and, I have this weird obsession with Lucy and Gajeel being best friends, is that strange? Tell me in the comments. I just think they would make awesome friends, maybe it's just me... So yeah, in this story they're gonna be BESTIES!! Lol.
