We drove. I recognized the route. "Why are we going to the byers, I thought I was staying with you" I asked. "There's a change of plans, they have a spare room you can use and we think it'll be the best thing for Will, we saw how happy you made him so we thought it would be good for you to be around him." Hopper said. "Plus you also saw it which means you both can talk about that" hopper said. "Speaking of which how did you find that tree, I dropped you off late and you would've had to have walked out pretty far in the dark to get to it" Hopper said. "We heard a sound and went to go check it out, I noticed the tree" I said. "You went out in the dark to check for a sound you heard?" Hopper said. "Yeah..wasn't the smartest idea but I mean we're not dead so" I said. "Did anything else happen that I need to know of" he asked. "I think Steve knows something is up with me, I think they both know" I said. "Did you tell them anything?" he asked. "No I didn't tell them, I said everything was fine but I could tell Steve didn't believe me,he didn't try to force it out of me though" I said. "Well as long as they don't know what you saw, I don't think there would be an issue but I just don't need them telling the rest of the kids and getting them all worried" Hopper said as he parked the car. He hopped out and grabbed my bags. We knocked and Joyce opened the door. "Oh hello sweetie" Joyce said,hugging me. I hugged back. "Here c'mon I'll show you your room, and Bob is here too" She said leading me inside. "Hey big guy, how have you been" Bob said, walking over to me and hugging me. "I've been better but I've also been worse" I said, hugging him back. "That's a good way to think about things kid" Bob said. I let go of bob and followed Joyce and Hopper to my room. "We already got some stuff set up for you, Will helped us with some decoration because he knows what you like and he made you a few drawings as well, he said he set them on the dresser. If you need any help setting up come get me or Bob" Joyce said. "Thank you Mrs.Byers it means a lot" I said. "I hope we can help make you feel at home" she said. "You guys already do that" I said. "Aww sweetheart" she said, hugging me again. "Alright, I'd love to stay but I have to get back to the job, That lunatic Murray is there again" Hopper said. "Alright" she said,following hopper out. I started to unpack my stuff. It didn't take long for me to get everything situated. I heard some quiet knocks on the door,almost like taps. "Come in" I said. The door opened and I saw Will. "Hey kiddo, we're housemates now" I said. "Yeah, did you see my drawings?" He asked. "Not yet, I wanna look at them with you" I said,grabbing the stack of drawings from my dresser. We looked through them and he explained them all. We came to the last one. It was like a storm, the same one I saw. The exact same. It had all the houses and everything too. I looked at him. "What about this one" I asked. "You said you were outside of your house when you saw it so I drew what I thought it looked like, did I get it right" he asked. "Exactly,every detail" I said. "You're a detailed artist little man" I said. "Can I see some of your drawings" he asked. "Yeah of course" I said standing up. As soon as I did I felt dizzy. I fell to my knees. "Mom!" Will yelled, running out the door. I couldn't see straight. I tried to stand up again but I couldn't. I felt weak. Helpless. Jonathan was the first to come in the room. He helped me up. Then all the adults and Will came running in. "He's pale" Bob said. "Extremely pale" Hopper said,"c'mon we need to get him to a doctor" hopper said. "I-i-im fine" I mumbled. After that it went black. I woke up in a hospital bed. Steve was by my side. He was awake. "Oh my god you're awake" he said, hugging me. "Did I miss it?" I mumbled. "Miss what, halloween? today is halloween" Steve said,running out. "Hey I need a doctor, he's awake!" He shouted down the hall before running back to me. I sat up. "W-where am I?" I asked Steve. "You're at the hospital, Hopper told me you passed out when you got to the byers house." Steve said. I wondered where Joyce and Hopper and Bob were. Shouldn't one of them be there with me. Suddenly hopper and Joyce ran in with a doctor. After a few minutes of testing me and asking questions the doctor said I was completely normal. "Then why did he pass out?" Hopper asked. "I don't know, there's dozens of different reasons a person could pass out,lack of food,water, sleep, possible injury, being scared, shock, stress" the doctor said,"he doesn't have any injuries and should be ok to go home" the doctor said. He pulled out my iv gave me my clothes to change into. I was led to a bathroom and got changed. I walked out and followed Hopper and Joyce out. Steve stayed next to me. We walked out and to the cars. "Sorry I kinda ruined halloween morning" I said to Joyce. "No honey its okay, I still got plenty of pictures of Will before he went to school, oh you should've seen him" she said. "Hey y/n can we talk for a second" Steve asked. Hopper and Joyce looked at each other. I walked over to Steve and we walked behind his car. "What's going on, this isn't normal, I may not be the smartest guy in the world but I'm not an idiot either" he said. "I don't wanna say" I said. "C'mon you can talk to me you know that right" he asked. "Yeah of course I know that but there's some things I just can't say" I said. "Why not" he asked. "Hoppers worried your gonna for some reason tell the kids" I said. "I don't even talk to those shitheads" he said. "I know" I said. "Then tell me" he said. I looked over my shoulder and saw hopper staring at me and him. "I'll tell you tonight, after tina's party, you can drive nance and me home, drop her off first and I'll tell you then" I said. "Alright" he said,hugging me. "I was worried about you, that scared me but hey at least you didn't do the thing" he said. "What thing" hopper asked. "Nothing!" Steve said. "No what do you mean 'the thing'?" Hopper asked. "I uhm-" I mumbled. "We ain't telling" Steve said. "Then no ones leaving" hopper said. "Damnit Steve" I said. "I'm sorry I didn't think he could hear us" Steve said. "Look I'll explain when we get home, it doesn't involve Steve he just knows about it, he's the only one who knows about it actually other than me" I said. "I thought I told you to tell me if anything weird happens" hopper said. "That was before all this, before my parents were missing" I said. "So you didn't even tell your parents" he asked. "No, they wouldn't believe me even if I did,Steve only believes me because he was the first person to witness it" I said. I said goodbye to Steve and hopped in joyce's care. We drove home.
