The "lizard"

I ended up falling asleep sitting in his lap while we were watching movies. I woke up to loud knocking on the front door. "Steve it's dustin, get your lazy ass up it's almost 5pm" Dustin yelled. "Steve one of your kids are here" I mumbled sleepily, poking Steve's cheek. "Steveeee" Dustin yelled. "I'm coming give me a minute" Steve yelled. I got off him and he got up. I went to his room to steal some clothes. I grabbed some sweatpants and stole a jacket of his. I walked downstairs. "Jesus what happened to him" dustin said. "He's had a rough couple of days" Steve said. "Last night was fine" I said. "glad I could help,now c'mon dustin apparently let a lizard thing live in his cellar" Steve said. "It was a baby demogorgon and his name is dart" dustin said. I put on my shoes and walked out. We walked out to Steve's car and dustin tried to get in the front seat. "uh no that's his seat, get in the back henderson" Steve said.

"Who cares? There's a baby demogorgon in my cellar!" dustin said. "In the back shithead" Steve said. Dustin got in the back and I sat in the passenger seat. Steve drove us to dustin's house. We all hopped out. Steve grabbed his bat and a flashlight. We walked to the cellar. "you sure the things in there..?" Steve asked. He hit the cellar door a few times with the bat. Dustin opened it. "Stay up here" Steve said. He walked down the cellar and looked around. We didn't hear or see anything from him. "Steve?" I asked. "Steve are you okay?" Dustin asked. Suddenly light flashed in our eyes. We both jumped. "Get down here, now" Steve said. We both walked down and saw Steve's bat had weird slimy skin stuff on it. "Oh no.." I said as I saw a hole in the wall. We all looked at each other.

A little while later and we ended up on railroad tracks. We had buckets of meat and were tossing pieces of meat along the railroad. Dustin was talking to Steve about how you know if you like a girl. "Well you feel it, like that feeling before its about to rain you can't see it but you can feel it like this uhh... electricity" Steve said. Dustin said something nerdy. "No no no no like a sexual electricity" Steve said. "Oh" dustin said. I was trailing behind, listening to the conversation. They talked some more. "What type is nancy" Dustin asked. Steve looked back at me real quick and I gave a small smile. I didn't really care if he talked about her. "She's a little different, at some points she can be one way and the next she's the other, look moving on from that, it can vary from person to person, some people like it to be slow and steady and others like it to be a quicker paced and some are in the middle" Steve said. Dustin looked at Steve, he had a confused look on his face.

I could tell what he was thinking, "why did he just gloss over Nancy like that". They continued on with the conversation and Steve ended up telling Dustin how he does his hair. I didn't pay too much attention to it because I already knew how he did it. "Farah Faucet?" Dustin said. "Yeah Farah Faucet and if you tell anyone about that your ass is grass, you're dead henderson do you understand" Steve said. "What about him? He heard." Dustin said, pointing to me. "He knows already he's seen me do my hair dozens of times, you forget me and him have known each other for years henderson." Steve said. "Is that why you two cuddle together on the couch?" Dustin ask and I could see that toothless grin on his face. "No- see that's just because we're best friends, that's what best friends do" Steve said. "Really? Because I don't do that with my best friends" Dustin said. "That's because you guys don't have friendship like we do" Steve said, pulling me forward and wrapping an arm around me. "Steve you just got meat juice on my clothes" I whined. "You mean my clothes?" Steve says, raising an eyebrow. "You guys sound more like a couple than best friends." Dustin said. "Most best friends do seem more like a couple but I assure you we are only best friends" I said. He looked at me strangely. "Whatever" he said.

After some more walking we ended up at a junk yard. "This will do, this will definitely work good job henderson" Steve said, walking into the junk yard. While we were looking at all of the material at our disposal we heard a yell. It was Lucas and he had a girl with him. She had red hair. We all got to work,and by we I mean Steve, The New girl who's name is apparently max and myself. The other two hid behind some car to talk. Steve walked over and scared the shit out of them causing me and Max to chuckle. After a few hours we had a decent set trap and a nice little bunker to hideout in. We all sat around in a bus that we transformed into our little bunker. Me and Steve were sitting next to each other on the seats while dustin was standing and pacing. The other two were on top keeping guard.

Steve kept messing with a lighter. I was twirling his bat in between my legs. I yawned and reluctantly leaned my head on Steve's shoulder, not wanting to make Dustin anymore suspicious of us than he already was. Steve leaned his head on mine and wrapped an arm around me. "You guys really aren't good at hiding things" Dustin said. "Just don't tell anyone" Steve said. "Your secret is safe with me" Dustin said. We heard lucas yelling something and we all peeked out. There was the demogorgon, or at least it looked like it, it had the face but it had a dog like body and walked on all fours. It wasn't taking the bait though. Steve grabbed the bat from me and got out of the bus door before I could even try to stop him. "What's he doing?!" Max yelled.

"Expanding the menu" Dustin said. "Guys! There's more than one!" Lucas yelled. "Lucas get down here!" I yelled, grabbing a wooden plank that was inside the bus. Lucas climbed down. We all peered out the window and saw Steve get surrounded. He fended off a few before running. I opened the bus doors. "Steve! Hurry!" I yelled. He ran into the bus and I quickly shut the door and me and Steve held a huge piece of wood against the door. We let it go and walked towards the middle of the bus, hearing the demogorgons climb all over the bus. We all went quiet as we heard one climbing on the roof. Suddenly Max screamed and Steve jumped into action. "You want some! Come and get it!" Steve yelled, getting all the kids behind him while I guarded the door. I heard it jump off and prepared myself for it to come back in but it didn't. We causiously opened the door and saw them running off into the woods.

We ended up following them and the two younger boys kept bickering. "Guys." Steve said. The boys wouldn't stop yelling at each other. "Guys!" I yelled. They shut up and looked at us. Me and Steve made our way through the woods, with the kids following close behind. We walked out and saw nancy and jonathan. "Steve?!" They both said in unison. "What are you guys doing here" Steve asked. "Looking for Will and my mom" Jonathan said. "They're not in there are they" I asked,looking up at the lab. "I don't know" Jonathan said. We walked over and tried to open the gates but it wouldn't open. Jonathan and Dustin kept arguing over it, trying to turn it on. "Guys the power isn't on and there was alarms going off before they were abruptly shut off, when the alarms go off that makes the building go into complete lockdown, locking all gates and doors that are electronically accessable" I said. Everyone looked at me. "There's no point in trying to open it until you see the power come back on" I said. "How do you know all that?" Max asked. I looked at her then at the lab. "I honestly haven't got a clue" I said.

"He's a little different" Steve said. "Is he that one person you guys were talking about with powers?" She asked lucas. "No,that's a girl, he's a guy, and she's our age, y/n is 17" lucas said. "I mean he does have-" Steve started before I slapped a hand over his mouth. "I don't have anything important for you guys to know about, and even if I did it wouldn't be anything that I would tell you unless it was a necessary topic" I said, glaring at Steve. I saw the power come back on. "Dustin hit the button!" I yelled. He hit it and the gate opened. "Wooo!!" He yelled. Jonathan and Nancy drove in Jonathan's car to the entrance of the lab. We all sat around at the gate. We all stayed relatively quiet, Max asked us all an occasional question which was answered by one of the boys. I sat down in the control booth for the gate. I stared off into space, just thinking and putting pieces together in my mind.

"Under the lab" I mumbled to myself catching Steve's attention. "Hm?" He hummed, walking into the booth. "Tunnels, they start from under the lab and branch off, they go all around hawkins, that's how the demogorgons get around so fast" I said. "The same tunnels you saw in your vision?" Steve asked, catching the attention of the others as well. "Vision?" Max asked. "Shhhh, he saw something, let him focus" Steve said. I nodded at Steve's question. "You think that you were seeing in the point of view of a demogorgon?" Steve asked. "No, the shadow monster. Will told me he saw a shadow monster and if I was seeing in the point of view of a demogorgon then there would've been more than just that one, they seem to gather in groups" I said.

Before I could say anything else Jonathan's car sped past us. Hoppers van stopped at the booth. "Get in! Now!" Hopper said. Steve made sure all of the kids and myself got in before he did. "So what was that all about?" Max asked Lucas. "I don't know, Y/n is an odd guy." Lucas said. "Hey! I am not!" I said. "Yeah well talking to yourself and having 'visions' isn't really normal" Lucas said. "I thought I told you not to tell anyone" Hopper said, looking at me. I pointed to Steve. "Steve." Hopper said, clearly upset. "It slipped, I'm sorry, but they probably would've found out eventually." Steve spoke, trying to defend himself. Hopper just rolled his eyes. We arrived at the byers house and we all hopped out.
