Halloween costume

We arrived at the house. I got out of the car and me,Joyce and hopper sat on the porch. "So what is this thing he was talking about and is it bad" Hopper asked me. "It can be bad, it depends on what I see, I can have these visions. I can see something that's going on right in the moment as it's happening. Whatever I see can answer a question I have, he was only saying at least I didn't do it because then Will would've seen it and I don't want him to freak out, I look a little odd when I do it" I said. "What do you mean a little odd" Joyce asked. "From what Steve said, I make small things around me float and my hair floats up, he also said that one time I had weird black zig zaggy lines going up to my eyes and they were glowing, my eyes I mean" I said. "What all have you seen" Hopper asked me. "Oh countless things, nothing to worry about though I promise, I can't say because I can't remember what all I've seen but I do know they weren't all good" I said. "Well just let me know if that happens again,and please let us know if you don't feel well so stuff like that doesn't happen" hopper said. "I felt completely fine before then,Will was just showing me some of his drawings he made for me. My favorite was one of me and Steve and a little banner looking thing that said 'the protectors' but when I got up to show him mine that happened" I said. "Alright just let us know if anything else happens, now I'm gonna go to work before I'm late,have fun and be careful tonight" Hopper said. "I will" I said. We watched as hopper left then me and Joyce went inside. "Hey big guy how you feeling" Bob said. "I feel pretty nice actually, it's halloween" I said. "It is, it is, oh my you've got to see Will his costume looks so cool" he said. "Where is he" I asked. "He's at school, it's a school day still" Bob said. "Oh right,can I still go" I asked Joyce. "You still wanna go? I've never met a kid who wants to go to school right after getting home from the hospital" Joyce said. "There's no point kiddo, it's almost over anyway" Bob said. "What are you gonna dress up as" Bob asked. "I don't have a costume" I said. "Why not honey" Joyce asked. "I don't have any money to buy one, I've been surviving off what Steve has been buying me for the past month, when my parents disappeared all the food disappeared too. All that was left was some canned vegetables" I said. Joyce looked at me strangely. "Come on I'll go get you one" Bob said. "Really? You don't have to, I'm not going trick or treating, I'm going to a party with Steve" I said. "Hey it's still fun to have a costume for kid c'mon" Bob insisted. "Go on honey, it's halloween isn't today your favorite holiday" Joyce said. "Yeah it is, Christmas has moved to least favorite now" I said with a slight and sorta nervous chuckle. "Oh I get that" she said. "Alright c'mon kiddo" Bob said standing up. Joyce kissed his cheek. "Thanks honey you're so sweet" she said to him. "Of course, he's family now ain't he" he said. "Yeah I guess so" She said. We walked outside and I got into his car. He got in and we drove off. "So kid, everything alright with you. You scared us yesterday" he said. "Sorry, I don't know why that happened" I said. "It's nothing to be sorry about, you didn't want it to happen, you're like Will you apologize too much" he said. "Sorry- I mean yeah" I said. "Listen you can talk to me anytime. Just remember when you talk about me it's Bob Newby, superhero." He said. I chuckled. We arrived at the Halloween store. Costumes and buckets filled the aisles. "Alright go crazy kid" Bob said. I looked through the different aisles. Nothing I saw peeked my interest. There was animatronics all around. While I was walking past one, it jumped out at me. I yelped and fell back. "Hey calm down, it's just an animatronic" Bob said, helping me up. "Thanks, I get scared easy" I said. "It's fine, I was like that too but then I became Bob Newby, superhero" he said. I liked him. He was fun and nerdy and always knew how to make me smile. "You see any costumes you like" Bob asked. "Not really" I said. "Hmm well maybe we can try somewhere else" Bob said. "Actually I have an idea" I said. "What is it" he said. "Let's go home I have everything I need there, I'll show you" I said. We walked out and drove home. I walked inside. "What'd you pick out honey" Joyce asked me when I got in. "Nothing I have a funny idea" I said running to my room. I searched through my clothes and found a bunch of Steve's. I put together an outfit from his clothes and put it on. I looked in the mirror and chuckled. I grabbed a bat I had that looked like Steve's with the nails. I then grabbed the drawing Will made of me and Steve with 'protectors' written on a banner. I ran out. "I may need some help with my hair" I said. "What are you supposed to be" Joyce asked me. I showed her and Bob the drawing. "Oh you're supposed to be Steve" She said. "Yup that's why I need help with the hair, and some bandaids and some blood because he's always getting beat up" I said. "Well let's get to work" Joyce said. Her and Bob helped me with my hair and gave me some fake blood and some bandaids. I looked in the mirror. "Ta-da" Joyce said. I giggled. "You look amazing little man" Bob said. "It's about time to go get Will so I will be back but you two get the candy ready and Bob keep him away from the reese's he will eat them all" Joyce said with a chuckle. "I make no promises" Bob said. Once she left I helped bob with his fake blood and hair. He put on his vampire costume. I sat in the kitchen emptying out bags of candy into bowls and stealing all the reese's. "Boo!" Bob said from behind me. I jumped. "You really do scare easy don't you kid" Bob said. "I do but hey at least I'm cautious" I said. "That's always a good thing" Bob said. Joyce got back with Will. "Oh my god" I said when I saw him. Will ran over to me and gave me a hug. "Are you okay what happened" he asked. "Don't worry I'm fine little guy, and the blood is fake" I said. "You look like Steve" He said. "Then I did something right" I said. "Oh you're supposed to be Steve" He said. "Yup you got it, I love your costume bet you had the best one out of everyone in the school" I said. "Actually we were the only 4 to dress up" Will said. "What really, you always dress up halloween day even if it's a school day" I said. "Yeah,everyone was looking at us weird" he said. "They were just jealous of how awesome your costumes were" I said, patting his head. "Yeah probably" he said.
