In a bookstore in Vale called "Tukson's Book Trade."
"Yo, Tuk," Y/N greets a bookstore manager as he and Lubbock walk in. "Still moving the shop?"
"If Lubbock will still let me," The manager laughed.
"Eh, it's fine. I understand you want to get outta here with the Fang after you," Lubbock picked up a book and dusted off the cover.
"I thank you again for all the help you've been giving me," The manager thanked Lubbock.
"I told you, Tukson, it's fine. Getting you out of Vale is my top priority right now," Lubbock put the book on the counter. "And getting this book checked out before you go."
Lubbock smiled at Tukson before the door opened and two teens walked in.
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise before narrowing in anger.
"Stop," Y/N unsheathed Incursio pointed the tip of his blade at the two. "Get the hell out."
"Woah there!" the silver-haired male put his hands up while the mint green-haired woman reached for her weapons. "We're just here to get a couple books, man!"
"Y/N?" Lubbock looked over at his friend.
"These two are with the White Fang and Torchwick," Y/N said.
"What? Really?" Lubbock asked.
Lubbock looked over to Y/N and his eyes were both green and purple, the irises being split perfectly down the middle with no visible pupil.
"There's no intention of anyone's that I can't perceive," Y/N said. "Those two are here to kill Tuk."
Y/N had activated the power he's barely used. His Tick which if you don't remember can determine what someone feels about him but had evolved to determine what someone feels about anything.
Lubbock tensed his wires and the duo was strung up.
"Guess I'll have to trust you," Lubbock said.
"Hey! Put us down!" the girl yelled.
"Tuk, get your stuff, we're leaving. Lubbo, hold em," Y/N sheathed Incursio before hastily helping Tukson get his things.
"What do you think I'm doing?" Lubbock asked rhetorically.
Later.
SM_L are sitting nearby RWBY at lunch as Y/N was off doing who knows what in Emerald Forest with Wave to their knowledge.
"Whatcha doing?" Yang asks Blake who was looking at a notebook.
"Nothing," Blake closes her book. "Just going over notes from last semester."
Yang catches a grape in her mouth. "Lame."
Nora giggles as she continues to toss grapes at Yang with a spoon. Yang catches the fruit with ease, giving Nora a thumbs up. Ruby, gives an enormous heave, and slams a binder onto the lunch table, catching everyone off guard. On the cover of the binder is written "Vytal Festival Activities, Property of Weiss Schnee" This has been lazily crossed out with a red marker, and with the same pen, a new title, "Best Day Ever Activities", has been written underneath.
Ruby clears her throat, before gesturing to everyone at the table. "Sisters... friends... Weiss."
"Hey!" Weiss protests.
"Four score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream," Ruby begins.
"This ought to be good," Yang catches another fruit in her mouth.
"A dream that one day, the four of us will come together, as a team, and have the most fun anyone has ever had... ever!" Ruby declares.
"Did you steal my binder?" Weiss questions.
